Blimey! I'm guessing 1988 is a typo, and you mean 1998 - as Tokyo Mauri only brought out the first ever AEG (the FA-MAS F1) in 1992, and previous springer pistols only got release outside of Japan in 1989...

i had a pump action springer thompson kit and a springer baretter kit in 1992,they were around and you could get uzi aeg's as well but i never had the cash back then,havent seen kit form airsoft guns in years .
