Afternoon all,
I was registered here a good while back but my account seemed to disappear (understandable as it had been dormant for quite a time). I've been playing regular airsoft on and off since about 2007 (a few games a year) and have fancied trying the WWII variety for ages as it's something I've an interest in.
As much as I'd like a WWII loadout, it's not somwthing I'd get regular use of and dispoable income is mostly diverted elsewhere at the moment, so I was hoping to get along to an event where there's kit available for hire to try it out at some point (had some abortive plans the other year but a friend's wedding got in the way!). Having said that, I wouldn't mind getting the odd bit of kit I can use for any skirmish - looking at repacing my P226 with a M1911 at the moment.
I'm over in NI so there's not much in the way of historical games here (I know Red Bard down South do occassional games, though nothing for hire AFAIK), so I was thinking about maybe planning a trip to Scotland or England with any friends I can rustle up next summer perhaps.

Joshs games (Guman) have rental kit and guns and many of the other events have kit loans threads.
Having said that, you don't need to drop a ton of cash for a basic impression. A hat, jacket and some sort of bag for your bits is all you really need, although some events are more restrictive than others.

As mentioned gunman games have all the kit you need for loan or if you look at any game there's usually a kit loan thread so before you book try and borrow the kit you need ,its quite common to borrow everything for you're first game and most of us have more than one uniform and are happy to lend what we'd not using even gun's get lent out ,so long as you're respeftful and make good any damage .

Welcome aboard, most events have a kit borrowing thread so you can probably borrow a full load out before you commit to picking up a set for yourself.
