Hello and welcome. The UKARA thing is only if you want to buy your own Airsoft gun- you need to be over 18 and have a valid defence as defined by the Violent Crime Reduction Act. UKARA registration is one of those defences. See the guide to the VCR elsewhere on the site.

Obviously if you can't buy a gun, you'll need to borrow or rent one. Gunman/Josh rents guns out at his events.

Cheers
Martin

Hi and welcome.

I wanted to ask as it's just me once i have got my kit together do i just express an interest in event that features the British Forces can i come along even though i am a complete novice.

Novice or veteran, all that is required is to pay and turn up - no need to express an interest, just book up.

I was looking at getting Kit together to specifically be a medic, however after talking to a few people medics usually carried any gun they could get their hands on.

Suggest to start with keep it simple, generic and flexible. In airsoft games generally any one can medic anyone, so no great need for specific roles or badging. Cheaper too!

I also understand that in order to play WW2 Skirmish I need to play normal airsoft and get my UKARA before i can play could i check is this correct? as if it is thats what i will have to do.

There is no requirement to play, playing in WW2 airsoft games is open to all (although some do have age restrictions) - the UKARA thing relates only to airsoft gun purchase since the law places restrictions on who can buy realistic looking guns.

Just a point to note, if you wish to sign up for a game and are short of kit or weapon then make it known on that specific game thread and you may get a kind individual to lend you the kit. I will use the CIA games as an example as game organisers and players at these games have always tried to help out when they can. If you like your first game then like the rest of us I am sure you will be skint for awhile buying up kit :giggle:
Welcome to the forum and hope to see you at your first game :good:
