it doesn't have to cost the earth, especially if you borrow stuff. Josh's games always have stuff to borrow and people will lend things for other games.
But yes, if you buy a ton of kit, it will end up costing. An awful lot of mine is second hand off the forum, much cheaper than buying it new.
The kit guides are good and if you go for just a basic infantry look it gives a lot more flexibility than some of the more wierd and wonderful units.
