Just thought I would say hi
I've been doing airsoft for a number of year and have done nam and a little cold war and fancy something new hence the ww2 due to finding normal skirmish days a little boring
I'm aiming for US rangers 2nd battalion already have the guns I need and am just looking for uniform and webbing (I do hame some on the way)
Any help or advice would be great but please be gentle with me lol and if anybody lives near yeovil, Somerset please let me know would be great to chat with someone in the know over a pint
Thanks all
Tim
Welcome to the forums! I don't have the first clue about yank kit but there's many a fine gentlemen on these forms that do.
Regards,
Ralph
welcome to the forum and the fun of ww2 airsoft its a friendly bunch there are some great kit guides at the top including the ranger one , http://www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/2nd-rangers-impressio/
any questions ask away, but as you know the cool guys go US Infantry
but the main thing is get to a game or two if you dont have kit there is normally some loan kit and there does seem to be more games down south these days
Cheers for the welcome guys
I've decided to try rangers first due the weapons I have and also the fact that most o the info I can find say they generally tended to wear just what ever they had available (and I like the assault vest ) I should be getting a pair of paratroopers trousers soon and also talking to a couple of people regarding suspenders, Canteen, first aid pouch and leggings but I also noticed SoF have a lot of kit from the film monuments men going fairly cheaply so may go for a couple of items for there
One question I do have Is weather black 1911 holsters were used or just the brown?
Thanks
Tim
Heya Tim,
Good to see you here too mate
Tom
Hello and welcome to the forums! As all the others have said, ask around if you have any questions and always see if you can borrow if you need anything for a particular event.
Most importantly, try and get to some events!
Hello and welcome,
as noted above, the amount thing is to get along some games and not worry too much about stitch perfect kit. There will usually be stuff available to lend out.
Cheers
Martin

Is there a list of games being played at eversly anywhere?
There isnt a centralised list, but just keep an eye on this area of the forum - all the games are advertised here and the location should be made clear.
That's great cheers I was looking at the game on may 7th at eversly but according to gunman there's a cold war game there on that weekend :-/
willkommen
Best advice go generic infantry otherwise all your swanky kit can sometimes get left on the shelf
second get to a game. Too many people on here collect kit and don`t use it
Hope to see you at a game soon
Hello and welcome, and to echo everyone else, generic is the way to go
That's great cheers I was looking at the game on may 7th at eversly but according to gunman there's a cold war game there on that weekend :-/
No 7th May at Eversley the last stand Arnhem game is definitely on.
Gunman is running a cold war game in Herts site
Yes, Josh has scheduled the Cold War game in the same day as the WW2 one.
Cheers
