Hi guys,

Not new to airsoft but very new to WWII airsofting. After years of Vietnam and Cold War themed games I thought I'd finally try my hand at something WWII based. My main area of interest is the PTO so I've been scoping out the 2x PTO games advertised with great interest. I've slowly been pulling together four different impressions... first is USMC (this will probably expand to early war and late war), second is USN Seabees (a long time passion), third is US Army Ranger (Cabantuan Raid) and fourth is 1st Cavalry Division (Philippines, 1945). I'm quite sure, if its anything like Vietnam, the bug will bit me soon...and hard!!!

Thanks chaps (and chapesses)

Tom

Hello and welcome, looking forward to seeing you at Tulagi, the first ever Pacific WW2 airsoft game in the UK (afaik).

Cheers

I know Eversley well as its my 'home site' for Vietnam and Cold War games. If the bug bites hard I'll look at ETO games too I'm sure :)

Hello and welcome
Theres quite a few of us in surrey ,I'm just outside Guildford ,where are you based ?. If your looking to maximise your kit use you might want to look into a more genric infantry look as well ,a common thing when you start is to go for airborne or other elite units but you get more mileage out of a generic infantry impression as they were pressent at more battles .Hope to see you at a game soon .

Hello matey and thank you :)

I'm based on the Basingstoke Canal at West Byfleet so not a million miles from several of you. If I get more into the ETO side of things, I'll definitely take your advice regarding standard infantry vs airborne etc. Both my Vietnam and Cold War impressions are mainly Marine or army infantry based with some of the most unique or 'special' impressions as a secondary.

Cheers mate,
Tom

Hi Tom & welcome to the forum! People are usually willing to lend out kit so if you want to give ETO a try you can probably borrow some stuff without having to shell out for it :D
