i am Paul, live in Switzerland (although i am german) and i am rather interested in WW2 Airsoft. Unfortunately in switzerland the interest ist very small in this form of airsoft (everybody seems to want to be a SEAL these days -.-)
and i know not more than 5 others currently even owning kit, let alone playing in it.
I personally am in the process of completing my No 10 Commando kit as i read just a little while ago a story about a german jew, getting out of germany in time, joining the commandos and returning during the war. This forum has already helped me a lot with the blanco (although i am rather sure i botched the job) and choice of kit and clothing, so thanks a lot already!
There are ww2 skirms in France. Dunno where you live in Switzerland, but maybe those are an option. Have a look at their forum here; http://www.ww2airsoft.fr
I actually have some connections to the french airsoft community and as we have access to one of the old Maginot Line forts, we're in the process of setting something up there - themed games and open games. But thanks for the point in the direction of the french WW2 community!

That's cool. WW2 themed also I guess? Would be nice to play around a fort again.
We're trying to find out if we can get enough people together. In Germany the thing is often rather one sided towards the Yanks (if at all, you still get the very odd look if someone comes across an airsoftgame) and in France i am not too aware how the split is between german impressions and allied ones. My ultimate goal will be to set one WW2 event up with sufficient players on both sides. Since we would have access to the fort and some surrounding wood, my head is already spinning with ideas (some involve ropes and ladders on walls)

Have a read at their forum. And I guess that fort is in France, I think it's a good idea to involve the .fr forum in it in an active way. It normally depends a bit on the theme, but a 50/50% Germans/Allies is reachable. But on some themes the Allies with a bit more players.
By the way; got pictures / location info about the fort?
I head up there the first time tomorrow, but it is in the Belfort area, quite a bit outside the city. I'll take some pictures then.
Looking forward to the pictures. And that area would be a 6.5 hour drive for me... so who knows, maybe for a good weekender I might come over

Maginot Line fort? Road trip anybody?

Well, i am back from the fort and it really is cool there. But i have to correct a few things:
Apparently it was not part of the maginot line, but built earlyer, mid 1800s
It looks like that too. Unfortunately it has not been kept in shape since the 1970's and is therefore very dangerous. The entrance Bridge took a direct hit sometime during one of the Wars. We determined therefore that the fortress will be unplayable for the foreseeable future-the ceilimg will cave in at some time. But the area around the fort is absolutely great. There are still outlines of trenches and MG positions visible, which we plan to rebuild. Unfortunately this will take a long time to fix, 2016 the earliest, if everything works out. There has to happen some metall detecting too, some bad stuff is still in the ground (Wires and other things) before there can be any gaming. I did not take pictures, as i did not go into the fort in any depth and the sourrounding area is woodland with some serious climbs.
For Games: Equal teams will not be an option, the attackers will be slaughtered by one or two well placed MG's. It would have to be a small number of defenders against a larger number of attackers.

I would try via Swiss ww2 reenacting sites: Rost und Groenspan.ch lebendige geschichte.ch MOB Romande.ch BigRedOne.ch. There's also Valkyrie Reenactment Suisse
Rost und Gruenspan have been working on an old section of Swiss trench, for about 2 years.
Would be interested to know if K.31 or Schmidt-Rubin 1911, or even Stgw 57 have been produced for airsoft ?

Unfortunately, none of the weapons mentionned by You are currently available, the swiss airsoft community is small and no interest for that is there. We'd swim in the kit though, most people took it home and it lies there in the attic in a box in near mint or slightly used condition. At garage sales and flea markets they then turn up. I recently bought a swiss Luger Holster on the cheap, made in 46, lightly used. And got a gas mask can (like the german one but not identical) on top of it.
Of course, there's the Hammerli ? conversion, for the K.31, to a training-airsoft-type indoor gun.
The only one, I can think of , is the Soumi K31 sub-machine gun actually in Airsoft..
Welcome to the forum aka, it's a brilliant source of all sorts of info.
On the subject of swiss airsoft guns, maybe you could look at converting an airsoft bolt action rifle into a Schmit-Rubin, don't know how you'd go about the straight pull bolt though but I don't doubt it could be done.
As far as I know, there isn't an airsoft version of the Suomi. The PPSH is kinda close seen as it was derived from the PPD, which was the Russian answer to the KP/31 and looks slightly similar.
