Greetings fellas!
Some of you may know me as "SFC Austin" from the Gunman and Vietnam airsoft forums.
I've been an airsofter for about Ten years as I write, and a collector of militaria for as long as I can remember....
I've had my Wehrmacht uniform for some time now, and worn it from time to time on walk on days, and military displays. I've recently decided to get a little more involved in the WWII events, and attended my first one, just last weekend. (Great event guys... really enjoyed trying to break out of Berlin...)
The more keen eyed of you may recognise that my impression has been heavily influenced by James Coburn's "Sgt. Steiner" from the 1977 Polanski movie of Willi Heinrich's book "Cross of Iron". Since this will be my only WWII outfit, and being that there is already a "Steiner" here, I simply think "Rolf" will do for now...
I look forward to meeting those of you I haven't already met, sometime in the field....

Not sure I can make May's game, I generally try to do one a month, be it Vietnam, Flying lead, or just at my local site. Think I have a 'Nam game in May already planned, so maybe next time?

Yep, one of the all time favourite movies.... the book is good too...
Maybe closer than you think, I'm currently in Wroughton... Local site is Purton, but sometimes go to Warminster. Looking at checking out some of the other sites Bristol way too..

Actually, I am considering "the last stand"... the 'Nam event is only a local one dayer, costing 25 quid, for an extra fiver could get a whole weekend of WWII action....
