To be honest you won't get many on here messing with paintball even if the guns don't have paint.
Many prefer the realistic looks of airsoft guns rather than paintball markers having said that I know they are tending to look more like guns these days than vacuum cleaner parts

WW2 airsoft also has a problem getting hold of vechles.
a lot of the vintage ww2 stuff, is own by people who just park it up at an old airfield and let people look at it, but wouldnt ever consider using it for anything other than a trophy car/bike/tank
good luck with the idea though, but like oddballs already said, a lot here came to airsoft for more realistic ammo limits, guns, and kit. i used to paintball a lot before i discovered airsoft, now id never consider using a paint marker for anything other than popping off paint at the local toe-rags.
