For KellyÒ€™s Heroes I sent out a lot of PM's and some people took it as an insult that I was even asking and complained about me

Yes I had been thinking of doing that myself to people I know, but thought it may be too pushy.

I pushed the game to everyone, especially Germans at the Crete game. A lot of the Germans were from down south though and thought N.Wales too far to travel. It did get Martin too book on though. There were a couple of Germans from the north I thought might book on but no sign yet, there was also a Brit and German from Taunton who were considering it.

Still plenty of time yet lets see how things go :good:

not been on here for a while ,

i really feel your pain on this. i had trouble getting germans for both the last ww2 games i did.

I wont be able to make this one due to my gunman commitments, i get what josh saysnow , in that running games means you never get to play any.

hope it dosent get cancelled, the site is very good, i loved it at husky.

the days of games booking out in 24 hours are a thing of the past at the moment :(

good luck :good:

We lost Nurglitch seems strange that it is the day after a game, maybe there has been some disrespectful chat over the weekend.

However distance is why I keep trying to run stuff up here so I know the problem.

Yep most nartzies are southerners, I have also heard much talk from people that one day events are more popular, but we do offer a discount for those that want to come one day wether the saturday or sunday

Work is progressing well on the props. Teller mines, UXB's and bangalores all need some wiring and components fitting(need to visit Maplins). Need lots more barbed wire, also started on some road signs.

I have pm'd CW regarding getting the game on the WW2 portal so hopeful will see us on there soon :good:

Lets hope we get more Germans, is it always a worry like this? :slap:-- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available --

Ok time for a round up.

Still not a great turn out but could be worse :?

Have sent a PM to Badger in Bristol no reply as of yet.

We have a few guys Yorkshire way looking for transport, we also have Porta who says he can / maybe able to rustle up 2 Germans.

We have Taffy saying he is trying.

Now how did we decide on payment for this?

Was it to one of us or Taffy?

Shal we start getting it in now?

Yes direct to Taffy was the plan. I think we should start getting the payments in soon as technically untill that happens we dont actually have any players for the game :slap:

I think we could also do with fleshing out the game rules as well.

Sorry been having to concentrate on work a bit lately.

Ok so what needs sorting?

AEG FPS ? well we can say 350 but having said that Taffy is quite tolerant of slightly hot guns due to the site size.

Pyro again Taffy is tolerant of a lot of pyro smoke etc as long as stuff isn't home made and dangerous, people should see one of us on the morning of the game and show us anything they may want to use.

We can pick stuff out of here, Porta did a nice job.
viewtopic.php?f=206&t=14649

Any WW2 era Airsoft weapon is allowed. Players can choose the weapon they prefer, SMG, LMG, Rifle, Pistol or SOFT Close combat LARP weapons.
Bolt action rifles OVER 350 FPS BUT UNDER 500 FPS may be used with a MINIMUM engagement rage of 25m
All AEG's should be 350 FPS with a 0.2 BB.

Ok have stuck that in as an update viewtopic.php?f=242&t=16912&p=234542#p234542

We need to sort out the night game rules a bit.
Once each person is killed or captured do we have to take them back to the capturing team HQ one man could do this!
Do the rest of the team wait for their team mate to come back before they move on? If so it would take some time so maybe the best thing is for the killed/ captured men to stay at their post and wait or for them to go back to their own side HQ and wait for a turn around from patrol to guard team.
These rules are only needed on the day as stating them now will tell them what we are planning to do.

Ok back to money we need Taffys paypal email and he needs to tell us who has paid.
This brings us to are the 4 of us paying up front, I always have with other sites as it has been a solid hire charge on the site and I never make a profit.

If anyone wants a chat about anything ring me tomorrow night 0151 5200580.

One a side note :ghey:

I feel we need good teams of people in different parts of Britain to run events as best they can

We managed perfectly well with just one organiser group, before things got fragmented and diluted. This thread is about CiA, not a chance to promote your own games.

This seems a bit off to me, only CIA should be running games anyone else is shit!

I have never said this but I went to a few CIA games that were not so good, but I know that's life things don't always go how you want them but having some view that everything they did worked spectacular is a bit wide of the mark.

I am not sure what you said in your post Nigel as you seem to have edited it out. Pete always seems a bit tetchy though
Unfortunately I got into the WW2 scene a bit late and never really expereinced the CIA thing. I went to Volturno which was a ok game but nothing special and to their training day which was good fun and informative, so cant really comment on CIA games. CIA deserve credit for trailblazing the WW2 thing but personally I am glad that there are many differant game organisers as each has their own style and variety is good. Also I am glad yourself Tiny and Porta have been running games oop north, its nice to have some games where the travel time is only about an hour instead of the usual 3-4 hours.

I wouldnt worry too much about what Pete says mate :good:
