This brings us to are the 4 of us paying up front, I always have with other sites as it has been a solid hire charge on the site and I never make a profit.
By the time Ive bought the Pyro I need I will probably have spent out about £150 on the props, also I will have to pay for my son so I am probably looking at a cost to me of about £200 already, so to be honest I'd prefer not to have to pay

Ok mate fair enough I know you have put a hell of a lot into this I am first to say you should get some if not all of it back.
I am about to post up info for payment to Taffy.
I wouldnt worry too much about what Pete says mate
I simply put I know the feeling of things at events going wrong and life issues as CW had said.
I simply stated that it is up to groups to run event in several areas and put on event that they think people want or at least try to do this.
People today are not up for driving for hours to an event and the cost of fuel is part of that.
I also stated that we have all tried to bring new people into WW2 airsoft and they need to be able to attend a game that will inspire them.
I stated that I am happy to work with anyone in the North West or the Midlands to put a game together.
I never stated anything about our game or dates however the fact each time I post it has a flyer on the sig probably pissed him off as he was crying in his beer.
OH I'M SUCH AN EVIL PERSON
One extra point I have always said that CW can come to any of my events for free if he feels he would like to and this still stands if the 2 of you are ok with this Marsha and Pride.
However CW has stated he will no longer go to games with Americans so it is up to him, if things go tits up it is nice to have a experienced guy on hand for a sounding board on ideas.

As I said mate Pete has a tendency to misinterprete and over react
CW is always welcome, did not know that he wont go to games with Yanks in though
Any other busines we need to sort out rules wise?
Anyway turning my PC off now as it is making my bedroom hot as hell
Ring if you or Marsha want a chat 0151 5200580

I just loged on my work PC and this is what I posted word for word.
I know the feeling, life has a habit of throwing a spanner into the best laid plans

As you say people don't want to travel as they used to, events are not as rare as they were and more people want to run one the way they want them or at least try to.
I feel we need good teams of people in different parts of Britain to run events as best they can, I for one am willing to work with anyone who wishes to try something in the North West or Midlands etc.
We all try to bring new people into WW2 airsoft but to get them to stay they have to be inspired by what they see.
Due to his reply I removed all my posting and sig off the bottom

As Pride was saying we need to fatten out the story a bit, so we can have some dialogue during the day.
So the Allies are the 5th Army and they are trying to capture HILL 960 also known as MT Difensa part of the Camino hills.
The hills are protected by the German 10th Army with the attached 14th Panzer Corps.
Nice video clip doc here

Let me know what you think of this map in B&W can we post it on the forum?
Do we want people to bring their own map or we just have about 4 or 5?
Do we want the radio station on it in C23 ?
We then need the story for the SG41 cipher machine building up.
Vital communications of the highest level between (German Officer??? ) and Axis Command Germany have to be sent and received over the latest SG41 Cipher machine. If this machine is captured it will cause chaos to the German command structure across Europe.
The machine must be captured and flown back to England to Bletchley Park where Churchill's code breakers can work on it.
It would also be desirable if the Germans thought it was destroyed rather than lost to the enemy.
We then have the Liri valley for the night prisoner capture area, both sides need to know information.
What information? Should we have a list of questions for each side to ask the other just to add realism to it?
Anyone got more to add

Yes mate post the map I would probably leave off the radio station for the time, dont need to give too much away just get peoples interest
As for the night scenario I thought that as long as we have enough people we could let each attacking side appoint their own command and decide for themselves how they want to work. So when its the German turn to capture prisoners I could stay back at a command post and they would bring the prisoners to me, after giving them some warming coffee I will interogate them (nicely of course no need for bags over heads, stress positions and all that crap) It doesnt matter if we get any info it just gives them the experience of an interogation and something in game to do while waiting for more prisoners to come in. If they want they can operate as a squad but they may have more success operating solo or as pairs, let them sort it out themselves
On the sunday I thought it could be a case of a German company has been cut off and must fight through allied positions to try to rejoin their comrades. When they reach objective 6 they have broken through and must begin a fighting withdrawell down the other side of the hill.
Oh and if the Enigma ends up in Allied hands to avoid a firing squad I will say its destroyed anyway
Sorry missed one of your questions, I think some people will print it off but it will be handy to have a few to give out as necessay.
I noticed one lad wanted a command role, If we have enough I was thinking of squading up the Germans in fairly small squads say 4 or 5 a piece? This will allow for some to act as junior NCO's / squad leaders should they wish

I have PM'd him and said he may be used for some small missions but I only plan on 2 LT sets per side unless you want to make an extra one or work some other way they get shot they come back etc.

Marsha you have got a
side
Just finishing of the wiring of the UXB's and bangalores so nearly finished the props, but I just had a fantastic idea for another prop, dont know if I should do it as the event is getting close now but I am sorely tempted I wont sy what it is as I may not have time to do it, but if you see the ladders on top of my van are gone and something is strapped to the top you will know that I couldnt resist
Not a V1 bomb your van will take off.
Have been talking to Steve D tonight he said that Wriggley may be a reporter trying to do an exposure story
None of us seem to know her.

Thats a bit of a concern Some kind of Nazi's in the woods story would not be welcome. How did Steve get that idea?
He is suspicious of people who just appear on the seen as if from no-where.
She has sorted out buying a rifle from Hide and coming to a game in few days, maybe she has been into airsoft for ages I don't know but she has not said such as far as I know.
If she is taking loads of photos or video even on a phone we may have to be careful.
This is probably not the case but keep it in mind
If she does look dodgy not sure what to do, I would think having Marsha as her OIC would be about as anti-nazi as we could be.
Steve pointed out that it is strange as she is married but the husband isn't coming along, so he isn't into what she is. As I say I hope and am sure this is all wrong and she just wants to have fun.
EDIT see I am wrong
hi all,
just a quick hello from what is at the minute a very sunny devon.
im looking to get into the WWII aspect of airsoft as im not brilliant at the running around stuff after playing with traffic a few years back.
im lucky in that folks that i usually skirmish with seemed to weed out the "oh yeah im ex SAS" types pretty quick
