Ok this is still an idea but could be a good one if TDD works out and SWAT want us back 
This falls in line with my wish to run events based on popular war movies.
At the end of Operation Lumberjack (1 - 7 March 1945), American Forces of the 1st US Army approached to Remagen and were much surprised to see the Bridge intact.
The bridge is notable for its capture on 7–8 March 1945, by American forces during the Second World War Battle of Remagen, which allowed the Allies to establish a bridgehead across the Rhine.
The bridge capture was an important strategic event of WW2 because it was the only remaining bridge over the Rhine River into Germany's heartland and was also strong enough that the Allies could cross immediately with tanks and trucks full of supplies. Once it was captured, the German troops began desperate efforts to damage it or slow the Allies' use of it
The US unit would be the (1st or 9th 
) Armd Division comprising jeeps and tank etc.
The German unit would be ? need to find this out would be made from many units and Volkssturm.
This is just about using as much of the SWAT site as we can and maybe having a jeep and tank drive up the road leading to SWAT.
A nice touch would be to take a fence section down for the game so we can drive in at the rear of the site behind the concrete car park.
The Germans would have gun emplacements etc for the US to deal with before getting anywhere near the buildings.
The buildings could be Hotel etc need to think more about it but plenty of area to use if we keep the cars inside again.
I think we would be able to get 20 per side on this.
I suspect there is a walk way across the bridge and it would be a nice thing to take some of the guys across on the Saturday night to get them in the right frame of mind that there is a bridge even if we can not use it

that reminds me, unrealated to this topic but what do you suggest i carry for my undercover go as German, weapons and ammo wise? will i need to fight off large amounts of Germans or just run away, im considering what im going to wear and how much i will need to change to be american?

I see you have an MP40 that is the way to go on this!
You just need to change jacket and maybe have a jeep cap or helmet I can lend you just remind me close to the event. I think we are sticking with the old standard 600 bb's.
We still need to sort our regens out for allied!

I was thinking of Just conceling my Colt, and if i could borrow an American Jacket on the day that would be good, i have an M1 for my French Indochina kit so it should be fine for this awell.

Like Say have a contienget from US&Brit on one side, Red Army on the other and the Germans trying to desperatly defend, whats the land around the ship like?
Or Drakelow tunnels, but i know there is a reenactment group with a U Boat Tower, so get them to place that in the tunnels as an objective.

Having read the last line, i think we should get on this site fast before it goes.
It looks like there are Fields, i think we should dig trenches and make little Pill Boxes, so it gives the allies a challange to attack, say its a large German Battleship in dock for repair, Brits and US need to destory it, prehaps buildinng a small gun turrent for the front like AGS did for Sevestapool, is in order.

I walked the site for this on Saturday and we can drive jeeps though the site from the fence line.
The only problem is temp removal of a fence post and slats.
The way round is to drive the jeeps up the road with the guys inside, then run the jeeps round and inside the fence line
Not a great answer the best would be to take a post out and have fluidity to the game.
SWAT would like us back I did ask
The site is easy to hire and cheap compared to many but the geography is a problem for Southerners, but if we build a North West player base we will be fine. The re-enactors I pulled in liked the event and are up for an other.
I gave Pauls youngest a spin round the site in the tank and that got plenty of smiles out of them

At some point I will run down there maybe in the jeep and video the lead up road and site layout for the game plan also the bridge as we now know you can walk over it, not for game but nice for a social evening strole over to get us in the zone

im not sure at the minute nigel, im aiming to run my gunman site two weekends a month soon, and im looking at getting another site for the other two weekends, then i can jack my shitty monday to friday job. If it all pans out ok, i probably wont be on the ww2 scene very much, unless i run 1 BIG event a year, and maybe one or two at my sites a year.
Tiny is helping me as a marshall/first aider/dogsbody so the same would probably apply to him, but i`ll let him say so for sure, he might get some time
AS FOR JULY, i was talking to josh at gunman, he came up to my house last month to set up and view my site, , and he said July is the WORST MONTH EVER for ww2 events, due to war and peace and all the military vech shows, hardly any games get off the ground
The last CIA one flopped, then the AGS game flopped, and josh canned one of his big games, all due to war and peace. if i was you id seriously reconsider june/july for ww2 events, regular airsoft does fine, but ww2 players are thin on the ground, and most ww2 airsofters who reenact attend the big shows in the summer.
Chateau was a big let down for me, when a few of the US/french team started to leave and pack up mid afternoon, i wasn't told, and i had lots of germans keep asking "where are they?" i thought most were being sneaky but they just weren't in play. I ended up looking like i was clueless, and it really pissed me off.
i plan on making the Fuhrer game a big event, (its certainly booked up very well, but i think the Drakelow site is the reason for that !) lots of pyro, lots of shooting, and a good battle for both sides. after that ww2 will be a sideline that i will still love as a personal hobby, but ill spend most of my time running airsoft as a living, and trying to put the ww2 standard in to open day/ modern styles of play.

OK mate.
I know I went off to pack up in the afternoon as I had so much to pack and Alex and one or 2 of the others on the US side (WW2stu?) seemed to want to run things and had a team each so I left them to it after I got shot and regened.
I didn't get away till after 6pm.
We just didn't have many US in the first place.
It wasn't the worst WW2 game I have been to by a long stretch but could have been much better.
We had problems for months which set things back.
Even people dropping out 2 days before and asking for their money back 
I didn't like the face masks there particularly on some of the German side and I near edited them out the video but felt they had paid so should be shown to some level.
I would suggest some comments on toning down face mask use in the future, that guy with the rubber horror mask was too much for me.
I look forward to you running some WW2 events at new sites

whilst personaly i dont wear a face mask, and ive had a front tooth shot out last week because of it, i dont mind players using theirs , it may look odd, but its their call and their teeth

Not been on here much due to never getting a minute to myself! I'm doing a course at work which is around 6 months and is eating up a lot of my time off. Add to that helping Tony with his site, the fact that my house is falling down around me, and 12 hour shifts, and i'm surprised i can even function. today is the first day i've had to myself in weeks, and i've pretty much stayed in bed all day!
On that, I doubt i'll be in any state to give input to an event let alone help run one. (Tony, take heed of that too, i'll help your site on the day, but don't expect any help planning stuff!)
