Evening all,

Just out of curiosity, who has come down with the flu bug since the game?

I know Chommers and Kermit have, as have I, so who else has come down with it?

(this is not meant as an accusation, I'm just curious)

Nope, not me - I had all my ailments beforehand - viral laryngitis and salmonella poisoning. Mind you, Frau Steiner has gone down with the flu. :(

Perhaps this is a new Allied tactic...

... Biological warfare (well, I suppose given the amount the Germans drink, they need to have SOME sort of response!)

An upset tummy courtesy of KFC doesn't count as salmonella Andy

It was salmonella from KFC, old bean - as confirmed by the hospickle. I lost 18lbs in weight and was only cured with antibiotics after 2 weeks of it.

Well, I've been hit with the worst flu bug I've ever had.

I went into work on Monday but left after an hour and have been seriously under the weather since. I could barely make it up to bed on Monday evening. I've had terrible aching joints, very prickly skin and have no energy at all. I've now developed a chest infection too, for which I've been given antibiotics.

Tonight is my work Christmas do, which I'm going to miss.

Che was pretty ill at the game....perhaps it was him. ;)

Yeah I got the flu real bad, hence no photos yet. Today is the first day I have been able to look at the computer screen without my eyes watering.

Anyway, my brother uploaded the video I took for the final bang of the game a few days back. He uploaded the wrong edit though so you'll just have to sit through the first minute and a half of nothingness. . .

It is here btw: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=1A-Mse1vrvg

Right, back to bed me thinks. . . .

Heh, I get the jab for free too (being asthmatic) but I have never taken up the offer as it's a toss up whether it will help you or not (depends on the strain) and some folk get mild flu symptoms after which seems to defeat the point! Whatever the strain of flu I had this time I am now immune to, so that's that sorted! (Asthmatics get the jab for free 'cos chest complications could be bad news, so I'm a dick not to take up the offer I know, but I'm a bloke  )

After three days suffering at work (one of the perils of working for yourself is you have to work no matter what) I gave up at 15.30 and went home to bed in great pain. Had to get up a few times for alternate bouts of squits and vomiting and awoke this morning with a drenched bed (it looked like one of those 'House of Grime' type documentaries - you know, where they clear a flat where a body has lain in bed unnoticed for three weeks and all that's left is a husk and a sea of goo). Hey ho, at work again today much improved. It's not all good though - it means I will be fit enough for a pre-Christmas visit to the in-laws on Saturday. :( :slap:
