My home comfort is 27, blond and hot . Sorry if that makes me none 'hardcore', but spending a night in the cold with a load of blokes doesn't even come close!

I'll bring my video camera around then we can definitely make it hardcore....with plenty of coming close with a load of blokes.....if you know what I mean.

wish i could make the social, but the family holiday is over on saturday, and to charge out of the door the first night back would mean id come home on sunday and my keys woulndt open the locks anymore

As lists are being made of equipment, bacon and such at the moment I was wondering if there is a 'plan' for the Saturday? Given the temperatures I was tempted to make a stew and warm it up in the evening, and Then I thought it would be rude to make a stew for me and not bring enough to at least attempt to offer any to the cold hungry others. And then I thought 'hang on, what if I bring me warming up stew and then everyone else goes to a chippy and has nice fish and chips while I end up with a huge pot of stew I have to eat?' And, to cut a continuing and long story short,...

Is there a plan of what is/may occur on the Saturday? 3-4pm until bedtime is a while.

OK, few points:

How far is civilisation? This is Bolton, so you might have to travel a good few miles!
More seriously, as already noted, this is a rural sight but not too far out of the outer edge of Bolton. Asda nearby and I daresay usual chippies/takeaways not too far. BUT due to the linear parking arrangements it wouldn't be a good idea for people to be coming and going all the time - it's going to get tricky.
I suggest the usual - come prepared, cook up your own scoff. We will have an urn on the go so we should be OK for brewing.

So, plan:
Arrive in daylight if you want an easy tent erection, come later if you are not bothered and can do it with your eyes shut.
Bring your scoff of choice, and gas/hexi cooker if you want hot food.
Usual chat, bitch, and talking very loudly and incomprehensively.
Lights out at 10pm.
Up at 7am.
Dress in battle uniforms, sort webbing, check weapons and ammo.
Ready for briefings at 9.30am
Game on 10.00am

the plan was that myself and the tansley brothers were sleeping sat night, however........ the good lady tells me i have the tree to do and house to dec sat daytime. so i might be there late sat ( will sleep in the van ) or early sun morn.

This gives me the chance to see just how comfy my cars back seats are! that and the artic kit i'll be bringing
