I think they used duvets from the local Ikea.
It took them so long at the checkout that the 9th SS Pz. nearly reached the Meuse...

Pretty sure thats 6th airborne in the ardennes and the guy with the no4 t is part of a full fighting patrol of about 10 men and not a sniper team.

I've the full series of pics in front of me in the 'go to it' illustrated history of 6th airborne.

That makes more sense, thanks for the correction. I was going along with the book I've seen the photo in, but it's about snipers so i assume they would just run with every pic as being a sniper team. I hadn't realised that the No4 (T) were issued to standard patrols, was this a common thing?

I'm not sure to be honest mate, i thought it was unusual too!

It might be an adhoc fighting patrol or more likely as its being photographed they will be tooled up to nines with a greater than genuine allocation of gucci kit to look good to the the folks back home.

That makes even more sense, especially as I would assume had they been in action rather than staged, I would imagine the No4 (t) should probably have sheets/bandages on it to camouflage it too. Especially if it was in the hands of a sniper/marksman, even if he was part of full patrol.

Is anyone going as US Infantry? Im tempted to get an infantry loadout rather than M43's. Just wanted to know if i was gonna be the only one.

Technically infantry would have been wearing M43s at this point anyway.

Aye, infantry would be a great idea - balance out the omnipotent airborne impressions!
