As many have mentioned in the past about various events, the 'July curse'.
In my case it is my son's ninth birtday party so impossible to get out of..
Any chance it could be staged later in the year..?
It is still a great basis for a game, also (from what I have seen and heard) a fantastic location..

ARSE! I am very disappointed to see this is cancelled. I hope this isnt a sign of thing to come, especially considering the winding down of CIA too. Is the WW2 airsoft scene still healthy?

Was looking forward to this one.

Same I was rounding up people that were intrested hopefully this event will eventually happen as it did sound like a good one.

Massively disapointed had been really looking forward to this one I have always really enjoyed the games and ethos of AGS. The second event to be cancelled for this slot Im afraid it just appears not enough players are free this year for July.

Bling had already been bought. If events keep being cancelled this far in the future it is going to become self fulfilling - people will not book until they are certain the event is going ahead and the organisers will cancel because no one has booked. This is the second event in July which I have organised and then re-organised things around only to find it cancelled.

To make it even worse it means there will be 11 weeks to endure between Chateau and Greenback, I can feel the withdrawal shakes coming on already, will have to try and get a fix at my local open day, I can already feel the thousands of bb's richocheting off me

One month ago we were going to cancel Dirty Dozen it was close.
It took a lot of nagging at some people to get them to come.
In the end we still did it but could have had near double the people.

I am sorry to hear about this guys, having had the same experience myself. You know my feelings on how I think WW2 airsoft is going these days and the cancellation of this one just confirms my thoughts.

I hope that you manage to put it on at a later date, as I know how much work you've already put into it.

its a great shame as i know how much effort you put in but please dont let it put you guy's at AGS off ,the best games ive been to were organised by you.for my part i was really looking forward to this.i dont think this is a general decline,more of a bit of bad timing for the game,there seems a growth of new players in my area especially on the allied side.

We (some of the new guys) have just discovered AGS, and we think it's smashing. Theres a nice big blank October between eagle and arnhem....

Unfortunately that slot has been earmarked just not been made public yet.

That's is a massive pile of pooh, July is shit for many reason, but for ww2 war and peace must be a major reason! I too have cancelled games in July so don't take it as a knock.....it isn't! It's just a bad month to run in;)
