anyone who would like to, or is willing to, borrow/lend a rifle can request/offer on here. Probably people will want to do this via PM or something, I dunno, but the thread is here for the doing of it.
Unfortunately I do not have a rifle to loan out at the moment - that may change by Sept, but I cannot say it will, until it does.
Also remember chaps - there will (hopefully) be some kind of automated weaponry on either side which will always require a crew, not to mention telephones to be operated/things to be observed. there is always a role for the rifle-less.
Hi, I'm going to need to borrow a rifle for this event, so if anybody has a spare boltie that they'd be willing to lend I'd be extremely grateful and take very good care of it.
Hi, at present i would need a rifle too. I hope to have saved enough money to buy one before but for now i would volunteer for telephone operation or machine gunner, if needed. I have side arm. Cheers Lutz
ah, Rifles only means rifles only - no side arms.
I probably forgot to put that on the main post this time, I will now.
I have misunderstood your hint regarding automated weaponary. I thought this would be machine guns and i thought it is common practice having a side arm with it. Sorry. L
yeah, you end up with silly situations, such as ordering an advance and people drawing pistols and moving forward like Ghost Recon or sommat.
Simply solved.
Yes my son did this once at a game, he was armed with a tanaka at 500fps but whished to close assault, so borrowed my luger and charged forward with a pistol in each hand. Quite funny to watch as he was quickly gunned down but not very WW2
Also at Pavlov's House the officers pistols proved to be over effective against bolt actions due to there high rate of fire.
Yes, Porta generated more firepower with his pistol than the rest of rifle armed section following.
I did exactly the same thing at Patton Stalled when faced with a trench full of Yanks ten feet in front of me, much easier to waste them all with my pistol than plink with the K98. That wasn't a rifles only game though.
The dynamics of rifles games are very different to normal games, but a static MG works OK.
Cheers

Dadio has just listed this up. It would be a shame for it to a home where it is never seen in the environment where it would shine as the star it undoubtedly is, so I thought I would pass on a mention to you guys.
Mention received. Rifle grabbed.
I will have a k98 springer to loan out.

Yes please if it's still available.
Your name's on it.
Thanks!
I'll need a rifle!!
We have you ticked down for one from us Steve.
Received my K98 today
Ready to go!!
Nice one Lutz, see you there. So that means Matt has his too? can't you get him to come along ...he'll have to if you order him to
RETIRED, thanks for some truly memorable times and great people
Yep, we are nicely getting them ready for action. Although have to admit relying on Matt quite a lot. Unfortuantely my orders are second in rank to the orders of his "home front general"
