Operation Haggard
July 5th & 6th 2008

SCENARIO
France, August 1944: In the two months since D-Day, the Allies have finally broken out of Normandy and secured the Cherbourg peninsular. American forces are heading south to capture the port of La Rochelle and its U-Boat pens, but meeting stiff resistance from the combined forces of the German Wehrmacht. In Britain, Churchill authorises the continuation of SAS raids behind enemy lines, in the shape of Operation Haggard. Their mission: to infiltrate the Loire Valley at night by parachute, meeting up with local resistance fighters, to sabotage enemy installations, to disrupt enemy transport and supply routes, and to tie up as many enemy forces as possible, thus weakening the front line facing the Americans.
TIMETABLE OF EVENTS
Friday 4th July
Site will be open for camping Friday night (exact time to be confirmed)
Saturday
1000 onwards - gun chrono-ing, etc.
1100 - briefing
1145 - deploying
1200 - game on
2000 - endex day 1
Sunday
0900 - deploying
0915 - game on
1400 - endex
Usual CiA kit and gun rules apply - forces being represented are:
US - any infantry or airborne
German - Heer, SS and FJ
British - SAS (i.e. airbourne kit)
Car park and camp site are not in the gaming area, so any type of tents are allowed.
Camping is allowed on the friday night Allies and Axis will camp together to facilitate social activity

GZ is a large site with mixed terrain - hills, gullies, wooded areas, and lots of foliage offering good cover. It is interlinked with wide tracks, so well-suited to vehicles such as jeeps and m/cycle combos. If you are intending to bring a vehicle to be used in the game, please PM the details to Steiner.

FPS limits
AEG full auto 350fps
AEG semi auto 425fps - minimum engagement 30m
Bolt action 500fps - minimum engagement 30m
(8mm guns are allowed.)
There should be a food van onsite, plus toilets and water.

If you're camping anywhere near me at the event, all you'll be able to hear is droning. I also do a good line in engine splutters.
Followed closely by a well reenacted engine fire.... 
So webbys just gonna run around going MEWWWWNNNMMMM pretending to be a plane with his arms out then jump on the floor pretending hes in a parachute then shoot the bewildered germans
