Well both days were great had an amazing time, the whole working as a tight unit thing with gadge leading us was brilliant, and all the time i thought how excellent we all looked in the same dress with our denisons, despite the quite extreem terrain and heat of saturday we succured our objectives with little help from the yanks of course untill we met heavy resistance at the brige although eventualy im sure we would have pushed through, the last battle up Mt Etna was a blast and charging the summit again and again getting slaughtered by being outnumbered and outgunned (with no help from the yanks)
I took some photos of the brits will post them when i can.
if you mean the bit where you captured the engima devonshire we were there just in smaller numbers. some of us were working behind the germans on the ridge and others of us were on the opposite hill with our longer range guns keeping heads down and picking people off.
Aye, Yanks helped us grab the Enigma. Our repeated attempts to hit the rocks were thwarted time and time again (Brits being outnumbered 2:1 and all the enemy were firing down on us). Still, I knew the Yanks were putting in an attack so as soon as I saw all Jerry heads turn the other way I screamed at Barrie to run in - he didn't need a firearm! Terrifying watching Guy run down the mountain to recover it though
sat ages watching you all, ammo less by the end (who was the yank with the MP40 ?) waiting to be spotted and finally gave up when steve "blew up" the communication tower with a yaaaaaaaaaah, still not sure how noone spotted by blue hat, hardly camouflaged
Yank with MP40 was Rupe. He's aging a bit now, so probably didn't have the right glasses on to spot you
I was in the valley bottom covering Steve at the comms mast - I spotted you in the ferns and took a couple of shots at you, unfortunately the Thompson didn't have the range and I was half way through my last lo cap at that point.

Nah he was firing at your guys albeit in my direction (they were infront of me) at an earlier point in a similiar hidey hole further up the track, and "someone" thought it was me never did say thanks for peppering them for me in my bb draught
Not one person took a shot at me, at one point there were a few others in there (later a couple of yanks behind me - one obviously rupe), but not one of you even aimed at me, I know cos I watched it all there was pointing some way to either side of me from up the hill, and whislt sat infront of me on the track up and down from me, but noone aimed or pointed me out, I was half tempted to shout bang-bangedy bang bang bang, but didn't want 6 of you all honing in on me so sat quietly, 6 hi-caps emptied rapidly at way less than 10 metres hurts, cos have had 3 done to me before and ain't daft enough to stand and take it again with more I would have gone
and ran away in a sulk
Maybe not all the enemy were covering the rock face, there was Yith with his Thompson and me with my .45 engaging the other side of the hill. hehe
I saw your hat there helga but figured as you werent firing at the nearby yanks you were dead and left you be
seriously, you think I'd willingly sit somewhere dead and not walk back to regen and if you thought that you all must have, or you didn't tell anyone else
buy the time i got there you were saying you had no ammo, seemed unsporting to shoot you.
If the situation were reversed Nige, we'd have all opened fire!!
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
that was the first time, and I hadn't. I managed to get one mag reloaded thanks to a loan of a handful of bb's the second time and never announced my location until after the bang MP40 has gone all weird, wouldn't hold mags, mags wouldn't hold bb's need a new one. There were two occasions on that bit alone
I think cos you saw me (and I know lots of you did the first time before I ran out of ammo) again your very daft if not one of the 6 of you stood infront of me said bang or took a shot, I mean I could have been armed had I erm not been. Well three cos I ran out again at the end of Sundays game
(though that was because someone else had and I gifted them mine and used one mag full on the M14 I was kindly leant. <~~ I had forgot to mention that CW but thanks again
Future reference I put my lil white bandage on the end of the barrel when I'm dead and remove the mag of whatever I'm using
.
Note for future, don't let che have the bb's as he bimbles about leaving the bb's places, cos they get picked up from where he left them and put in a kubel or just left miles away at a capture CP

They usually do why I find it so odd not one of them did, no communication about me nothing, and I heard everything they said cos they were so close
meh am not complaining of course, I've already got one wound on my face thats gone scabby nowand looks most becoming
and a multitude of pebble dashes on my legs

I was over the other side of the valley helga on top of the opposite hill so difficult enough to get their attention let alone point out one person sat in the bush. I kept an eye on you whilst dueling with a few snipers (and scaring the chaps in tropical gear huddled around the mobile mast) but after seeing you not shoot at anyone at any distance it seemed you were dead so didnt bother to shoot at you. Next time I'll be sure to
Ah so it was you who fired pinging at the comm tower, some welly that weapon of yours has obviously my mp40 was no match so didn't bother wtih you, afaik you were dead, as you were sat on your todd up there, not aiming at anything in the end, buggers all left me on my own there
snipers where up the hill completely to the right of the comm tower from where you were sitting, any near me had been removed by your chaps before then, and those brave two that sat the comm tower. I was sat parallel with the comm tower on what was your left. Earlier to that I had been several meters further left.
Terrifying watching Guy run down the mountain to recover it though
"Watching"! Why did no-one shoot him! No matter though, I didn't have my rifle but I don't think Guy was expecting my fist in his face when he caught up with me at the jeep lol.
General thanks to everyone involved. Excellent weekend and really awesome site.
Oh, he was shot all right (who could miss an opportunity like that) - gravity and momentum, unstoppable forces...
Oi leave the svelte oberfeldweeble alone

Yep was pinging shots off the fencing to try and keep those chaps pinned down hehe. It really wasnt that far away from me plus it was downhill so wasnt that hard to hit with a bit of aiming upwards to allow for the bb fall(plus the m1 has a nice hop in it ). I wasnt dead until the end when lardy shot me (when I already had a bandage on) and I came down the hill. I just had periodic sit downs to survey targets, take in water, and reload mags as it only has 15 rnds a mag and I only had 3 on me for some reason. and yep had seen your blue cap beyond the comms tower to the left.
WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!! just spotted your post ranj, my playing might not have made the reports but my beer did . mentioned in despatches,,,,,, nice.
