I think one during a period of R&R would work. Guns on floor, helmets off, smokes out.

It's just a squad photo, hopefully with the jeeps and a tank in the background.
That sound ok to you?

We'll have to force perspective with the tank though, right? ;)

Haha yeah, I'm sure we'll work out a way of getting it in to the shot without it looking wrong, but actually it won't look too bad as long as it's not sat right next to one of the jeeps or with a guy leaning against it.
And as far as I know it's the right colour...generally speaking I think OD Green is roundabout correct.
Either way won't look out of place, looks just like a Stuart tank if you squint really hard.

Indeed. Although I can't help thinking it would still look better in British colours than American, being a Tetrach and all....

Yeh I know what it's based on, the Tetrach wasn't quite as well known as the Stuart though, but I assure you being 4ft shorter than the actual tank does not detract from the look.
And no one will be bothered about the colour of the tank when it's me sitting in the turret giving covering fire.

Douglas McCarthy - armourerdoug (US Airborne)
Rhys Davies - Rhysd2 (US 82nd Airborne)

Two fine new additions to the crew, are you guys up for making yourselves available for a photo?

Doug you bringing your jeep down still by the way?

If we get all the guys in on the photo then there's 13, could be a great photo especially with the vehicles in the back and smoke drifting across. Just don't be surprised if I'm picky about where and how everyones standing haha
Anyway when I've got it and edited and aged it, if you give me your email addresses I will get a copy to you.

He told me no jeep as he will not have the space for the wheels I am bringing hence I may need you to drive my jeep if it goes there.
Hope you are a good driver, the other option is I bring Tank on Saturday with Serena then nip home Sat night and come back in Jeep Sunday morning.

Regarding the tank I know many think it is stupid in many ways, but I thought I would give it a go and see what I could do.
It is a compromise on many levels shape, size, colour and what weight I could tow.
I discussed many aspects on a number of forums as I made it and this was what came out love it or hate it :?

As the Tetrarch was also given to the Russians in small numbers maybe 50 and it may also be used as a captured vehicle by axis so basic OD seemed to be best choice, a red star can easily be stuck over a white one etc. If camo is required a water-based paint could be used and later removed with white spirit.

Hey you've seen my car, do you think I'd be able to own/insure that if I wasn't an atleast reasonably good driver.
