wrong place at the wrong time Paul
Ah, no kills in this game Paul - you were incapacitated. A grenade hit meant you skipped the medicing option - your mates couldn't bring you back into play.
Last night I remembered my most disappointing moment. Our first vehicle patrol went east out of HQ and came racing back saying movement spotted in woods to the south. I took squad Biffo into the woods in a diagonal sweep down to the bottom then back up diagonally, ending up at the car park. No sign of anything. No disappointment there, hard work but good fun.
Ah well, a trudge back down the road to HQ then. As we neared our HQ I stopped the men just around the corner and formed them up and prepared to march into camp in formation. THIS will impress the CO I thought. Links, links, links.... Squad halt! Squad, fall out!
Bugger me, not a soul in the camp to be seen - no invalids, no malingerers, no officers. No one.
hehe, I was in the camp when you did that David. All I thought was "bloody staff officer, all his men want to do is slope back in and grab a drink, and he wants to march them in"

It would have been impolite not to. I watched the walkers walk by (well I guessed none of you would be wearing bright red). Hey, the Jeds are a man down - Webby and Andy copped it first, Stu and Stephen legged it, Rich, Martin, Ed and Steve in a group - who is missing and where?
Gawd, we well and truly boxed you in - by luck timing-wise. HS & Slippy took the furthest/longest option to evade and succeeded.
we took the longest route which is why no rescue was attempted, we heard blanks being fired and figured it was executions, we really did suffer trying to get away, dodging patrols and hiding for what seemed like ages.
when we finally found the SAS we were knackered and we had lost our men, but i personally still held a great sense of achievement in knowing that atleast 2 of us got away and i feel we earned that right. We escaped, we evaded, we did what we had to to achieve our mission.
And i think that is the story of the weekend, everyone on the JED, SAS and even germans did what they had to in harsh conditions for the average airsofter.
Im suffering now , i have a total of 112 insect bites , 12 of which are around my left eye. I have a strained ligament in my left leg (the one i smashed the knee on at spectre pete) and i have a ton of bramble cuts and bruises..would i do it again???
hmmm...yeah i would but the missus probably wont let me lol since im off work with a swollen eye.

I had similar thing with my ears after Pete's sniper training day last year, a big saver is wrapping your head with a scrim scalf with insect repellant sprayed onto it. Fortunately only my arms and hands have been bitten more than once, I would imagine that was from when i was sleeping. No Horse fly bites thank goodness.
I don't seem to be very tasty as I've only got 4 or 5 bites despite not really bothering with bug spray and my face being exposed when I slept. I did kill 4 horseflies trying to tuck into my hands though, so they must like me.
Well know iam back on this planet here goes..... big round of claps for CIA, SAS and Jeds think you defo had the hardest job,(just carrying them radios) after a nightmare getting there (narrow roads fooking wide trailer) enjoyed the event (with no ale ) the woods was hard going under foot spending more time looking were i was walking more than looking for the bad guys, all in all good weekend roll on octobers game
Would like to give a Big thanks to all involved for a cracking weekend...had a great time..it was my best Airsoft experiance to date a good mix of what WW2 Airsoft should be.Bad point it all went to quick..Saturday was fun when all the prisoners started to arrive..then being ambushed Sunday morning and then a good old fire fight in the camp top weekend
I totaly agree. An event such as this could kick of friday night and play right through....when your ready lads book me a place please
Heer Schmidt
Big thanks to you Jamie, after several foot patrolls you dont appreciate what it means to be allowed to go out in a motorised unit, although since you were such a priority, it usually meant a long slog back! Example the run out to the fresh cut logs near top of camp, on Sunday, when we turned the corner and saw the Allies spook and run away Ha ha funny, to being dropped off, shot by said allies ( cant say who, didn't see them) and slogged back to find our base had been over run appx 4 hours after I expected it
Love that V8
Finally back in the US after my trip over for the Jedburgh Op. !
thats some distance to go for a game, sir, i salute you
"Take that you rotton helping of strawberry flan!"
Joseph Porta to "strawberrys and cream", in the sven hassel book ,ogpu prison
p.s. yes, it's true it was me waving to the germans... i thought it was the kind of "Catch me if you can" think a Jed would do. Unfortunately, it turns out they could.
Thats just pure class!
