Can't really see what he's hoping to achieve with that, it's exactly what Guy did before deciding to run the event.

BTW, what the hell happened to all the Jedburghs who were so interested. Did they just melt away and not want to book onto the revised game???

Che is just trying to be helpful. Suspect he fears CiA might collapse as a result of the cancellation. I saw him on Sunday and he was VERY disappointed Jedbrough didn't go ahead.

As for the Jeds - who knows? We can't ask them 'cos we don't know who they were, if there were any. Apart from Webby. And Steiner. And Ashworth. And Pete & Stuart. And...

Don't think that Steiner was a Jed. From previous experience of an E&E bash he wouldn't have lasted an hour. No offence to the bloke meant, I should add!

He was. He'd not read the instructions properly and contacted me then paid via Paypal which, again, was not what we asked.

In my mind, that was enough to deny him a position!! Guy accepted him though. ;)

I have resisted replying to Gadge's somewhat spurious and 'spoiler' remarks.
Quite why Gadge didn't just say "I won't do it 'cos I flake out after half a day's gentle airsoft or reenacting so I'm not up to it.", I don't know.

It's far too "special forces". I'm just a lot more interested in what the average tommy had to put up with.

Uh huh. And thats why he portrays the 34th Toilet Cleaning Division instead of Brit Airborne then?

My only other suggestion to a re-run of this game would be to make the Evader bookings system a bit more transparent. I didn't really understand why this needed to be so secret squirrel. Clearly it's going to be over subscribed but it could look like the evader team was being cherry-picked rather than first come, first serve.

Ahem, funny you should say that! ;)

I think some of the points have been fair enough (apart from Gadge's massive spamming about some completely unrelated event and spurious 'advice').
However, regardless, I don't think we would have got the numbers - just something weird about those dates that meant players just weren't available.

Still, marketing WAS poor and Guy's 'trust me and leave it all up to me' just isn't a good idea.

Hopefully with Pete's input next time round (he made some very valid points about the E&E description being unclear to punters) and some more fulsome marketing on my part we will have fewer problems next time around.
