Hi guys
I have this in my calendar for 5/6 Sept, but it's highly unlikely I can make this date or the following weekend, leaving only the last two weekends in Sept.
Is there any room for movement on this?
Hi guys
Sorry to bang on, but I need to get this cleared up as I have to book the time at work. If this is confirmed I can move things around and it'll be fine, if not I'd prefer to move the game to a later weekend in September.
Either way, just let me know.

Since we don't have a site I don't see how we can fix a date yet!
Well, that's kinda what I thought, but I wasn't sure if this was the only date we could all do that month.
Well, I'm OK any weekend in Sept. I seem to recall 5/6th was chosen as it is the first weekend after schools have gone back?
Awesomeness. In that case, the first two weekends are out of bounds for me.
Hmmm, given the recent PMs with PBI planning a game for late Sept (what will it be, Australians v Japanese?!) and two games in October looks like we're loosing the initiative on this one. Perhaps we'll have to shelve it. August is already booking up for me.
Yup, been talking about it for six months so a bit much to expect everyone to wait for us!
I could do with a break anyway!
Is this an official more to cancel this one or not ? Would be disappointed but not the end of the world .
The 20th ( Sons Birthday) & 27th (other engagement) Sept are out for me . Later than September will be too cold for a proper 24 hourer with current players .
if we are in a rush I can probs get the Bryansk site with a few phone calls, the desire for a new site / my personal life has slowed this down, however it's still five fecking months away ...& also nothing to stop anyone else booking a site here lads .
Run out of ideas on the site front TBH. I can't do early September, you can't do late.
October would be ok weather-wise, but there are already two games booked for that month.
Lets leave it and do a smaller game somewhere in November perhaps.
Yup, missed the boat now - BPI and AGS have got sorted before we have, no point in having anything in Sept or Oct, can't do Aug and we have a December game so a Nov is a bit of an ask!
Looks like that's it for this year, just the three games.
Unless we do a joint effort with AFRA in November (not E&E) and see how far we get with that. AFRA will underwrite all expenses so no finacial risk to us if numbers don't book. Should be possible given effort will be shared among many.
Fine by me , I've felt there was a distinct lack of enthusiasm for this one from the start anyway . Lets do a Stalingrad in December and call it three , can't be assed with another day game 'just for the point of it' .
Yes, I did detect a note of consternation from players about a full 24hr game when I was talking about it at Glocke! They prefer getting hammered and having a day-long game.
Must admit, i'm gutted that the E&E seems to be off the radar. Was really looking forward to it...

So was I. Still, slated for 2010 it should give Guy enough time to find a site (and us to find 30 Germans who will play ball...)
huh?
You were looking forward to it? Thats a surprise, you came over as being rather negative about the whole thing....

I was looking forward to it too; but needed to be convinced that there were punters who wanted to play that type of game!

Feck off - time and time again I have been pushing to get this going. Even given a suitable site and discussed involving others. Time and time again asked Guy what was happening. With only four months to the event and others putting up real games unsurprisingly we were pipped to the post. It wasn't me who was negative - Guy said he knew everything that there was to know about E&E and that it should be left up to him.
REALLY REALLY pissed me off there Jay, nice one.
As Stephen says, announcement at Glocke went down like a lead balloon.
OK, maybe I was a little blunt there, but the vast majority of stuff you posted on the original thread about the idea was in no way positive.
so, feck off yaself.
Anyhoo, i'm going to get back to the important stuff. Final salary pension scheme going down the pan, 400 job loses (and my mob *will* lose people) & an computer system that is so knackered its making my job virtually impossible.
