Since the calendar is filling up I suppose we ought to think when Jed v2 might be run.

Webby will be nabbing June, so July and August should be OK.
Both fine weather-wise too. July has War & Peace sat in it - lots of people will be lost to that and its a biggy, also for many that will be their 'quota' for being away from the family for that month.
August will be taken up with family/school holidays and the Bank Holiday is at the end of the month.

So, while we can never have a 'perfect' date can I float the suggestion of 3rd/4th July or 7th/8th August.

7/8 August will be out for me as I'll be getting married the following weekend. (And you lot will be coming to the reception!)

3/4 July will is fine for me right now....although if this retro club night thing takes off, I might be committed to that.

I'll be out from 20 August - 18 Sep on Honeymoon.

I'll fill in the rest of my 2010 diary tomorrow and check those dates.

Until Webby posts details of a game, June is still free, isn't it?

Edit - My current weekends off are

12th/13th June (ties in nicely with Jed's dropped for D-Day!).
26th/27th June.
10rd/11th July.
24th/25th July.

Etc, etc. Ie, every other weekend. Annual leave and nights can effect this and I'll post up as soon as I know about them.

Webby is 90% there, he has asked me for a forum section, so take it as booked.

Feck me Stephen, you are getting as bad as Gadge with all your 'commitments'

Well, by then the dance thing will either have died a death, or be big enough for me not to attend for once!

It would be worth taking the dates for Detling into consideration as well.

When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........

Ah yes, Detling 2010 date hasn't been announced yet but I presume it will be on the August Bank holiday again.

Does it? Oh bugger. :slap: Looks like I've been a dick and filled in my diary incorrectly! I've edited my original free dates post. I'll have to sit down and fill in my diary properly, rather than just try to work out my weekends off. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

Following on from the F&O training day, I think we've proved that this kind of event can work if players are "in character" for it. I think another day or two like the F&O one could be of great benefit in recruiting players when they realise how much fun it could be. Training days aren't difficult to organise, can reap some extra funds and really get people fired up for the event itself as well. I'm more than happy to organise another one at, say, Redditch, in the new year. That way, it's central for all, people can camp over for the "social" and we have a full day at a big site. I only get charged a tenner a head, so, if we charge £20 a head (including camping), we raise some funds as well.

All good stuff but lets leave until after April - we don't want punters to get training fatigue!

No worries. No point doing anything until we sort out dates and a plan for Jedburgh anyway.

Guy is going to contact IED for the site booking.

Pete is fine with 24th/25th July - I am too. It is sufficiently removed from Webby's June game. What about everyone else?

Good, good - I was waiting for you to spot that. :D

Pete is available 10th/11th July - I am OK too. We don't really have any other choice as August is buggered up 'cos of S's wedding.
