Can I suggest that the Heer troops, though not allowed camo clothing, can use their zeltbahns?

I'd have said that was your decision... being german commander and all.

However I (after much hollywood brainwashing) would love to shoot and be shot at by people in field grey... :)

Agreed. But the zeltbahn option should be available to Heer troops. I imagine most will just go for the feldgrau's though. Hopefully, even among the SS, we'll get a good mix of camo and grey as well.

Well if the Germans can carry them - as they did in the field in the roll, it could be down to the squad leader's choice of when to wear - if required ie pissing with rain, if the situation called for the use? Rather than a I'm wearing a zelt from the get go.

Sounds fair enough, it may even depend on the role of the Heer garrison during each mission. Static defence troops would be less likely to be camo'ed up, than if they were on a patrol, for example.

Of course, if it's pissing down, we don't want the Heer lads getting drenched when they've got a perfectly good waterproof rolled up with them. :D

I might take you up on that Andy, depending on the weather

I'm assuming you will want K98's de-scoped for this one also?

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

Yes please.

We're looking at having true sections for this so only one MG and a pair of SMGs per section with the rest being rifles etc..

One sniper per side will be plenty and not on the garrison.

I've been looking at pictures of Yugolslav partisans. Even though there is a huge variation, they all seem to depict a more soldierly than civilian appearance. The first picture is a "Proletarian Brigade", the other is a regular infantry unit.-- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available --

Yes, some of the communist partisans were pretty much a regular army. However, as we wanted to add in a little unknown element, then a 'generic' part militarry/part civvy partisan impression will allow the player to play any one of the three partisan sides without giving the game away as to what side they're on in each game. :D

Oooh, it's gonna be a good 'un. I can feel it in my water. Us Heer garrison types should co-ordinate to make sure we look like a unit. M36 greatcoat already purchased :D

Shweet. My tunic is badged up as Obergefreiter, but I'm happy to go to to Grenadier if it makes us look more realistic. Who is our unit NCO / Unteroffizier btw?
