That's the downside of sniping and hiding Lardass. If we can't see you, nor can the cameraman lol!

Nice one of the telephone cable being deployed.

Great pics.

Nice to see I've finally made the front page of "Die Wehmarcht". Not sure the bottom caption is apt though, I am hiding behind a tree watching the braver ones getting shot in front of me

Yes and no

We did have filed phones and enugh wire to use them but ended up actually just running twine on the cable as working phones were not really needed for the scenario, its was about emplacing the wire rather than needing to talk on it.

Seemed extra hassle to wire up the field phones when they were not really needed

If you plan to use the cable idea again gadge I would recommend using some real cable or at least some heavier/thicker string. The string used was too light and thin so it kept slipping off the wheel and fouling, we had to cut & retie it 3 or 4 times in 50m.

No problem all a learning curve really, we didnt want to spend uncessary cash on real cable only to have it cut and tied, equally the cable we did have whihc was real was going to be used in other missions.

i've had an idea about that, i'm going to get some cable and make it up in 10m lengths with a plug and socket on each end so rather than cut, you just have to find the nearest socket and disconnect it. Also means the phones are much more useful and the cable is reusable. :D
