History records that after a month of intense preparation, the Allied invasion of France was set to land on the shores of Normandy at dawn on June 5th 1944. The invasion was to take place after several months of misdirection and espionage to convince the German High Command that the Allied attack would come via Calais, the shortest route across the channel.
History also records that Allied intelligence was so successful in tricking the Germans, that Erwin Rommel, tasked with the defence of France was absent from his command on leave during the landings, along with many other regional commanders who were taking part in war games simulations. It is also an accepted fact among the endless texts that on the eve of the invasion, faced with tumultuous summer storms in the channel, General Eisenhower was forced to delay the invasion for 24 hours while the weather cleared.

‘The I.C Chronicles: Overlord’ tells the story of what really happened on the eve of the invasion that bleak evening of June 4th, 1944, and of the brave men and women of the Independent Company who played their part in beginning the final chapter of the third Reich’s evil history.
With vital intelligence gained from the elusive Candlestick network, The I.C has learned of a section within German Intelligence who possess dangerous knowledge of the Allies’ real plans. More troubling still, maps of known German testing sites for the new weapon known as Siren indicate a clear and present danger to the landings. Tasked by Churchill himself to assist in the invasion, will the Independent Company risk all for King and Country, for Freedom and Liberty, for Stalin and the Motherland, or will they seek to unravel the mystery of Siren and the Ahnenerbe?
Overlord will aim to place Independent Company agents in direct control of events occurring alongside the Normandy landings, from planning and conducting missions in the field, to actively coordinating parts of the invasion itself! With three missions throughout the weekend (two on Saturday, one on Sunday) agents will take part in two field operations and one support operation at Invergarry House.
