Another one for the German side please. I've bunged you a pm. I will not be camping on site... or drinking gin!
Pencil me in please, but just me (Barrie) this time I'm afraid.
I shall probably be British.
Hopefully Pete59 is coming too.
EDIT - we will be camping overnight on Saturday.
List updated! Should be a good turnout.
If anyone wants to pay in advance, feel free to send the money via paypal. Do remember that if you want to camp it's £20.
Thanks
Stephen
hello guys,
we have an open day on the previous day, so feel free to turn up at anytime during the day, we will be on site until approx 18:00 so even if only one of the guys who are camping could see us during the day we will give you the gate key to let yourselves in and out through the night!!
also we have been told you don't want food etc, but will any of you want bb's or pyro, we will bring some along anyway just incase, but will bring extra if needed and of course we will have the boiler with us for some hot drinks all day. I cant do without a gallon of coffee a day!!
cheers guys

Outstanding! An Englishman can withstand a lot of deprivation, but a day without tea is unthinkable.
On a tangent, anybody any ideas what we are going to do? What's the training element of the day going to be? If there is nothing planned yet, and having recently been on PBI's excellent field craft day, may I suggest that the Germans at least would benefit from some exercises in camouflage and concealment and also squad assaults? Put some polish on our superior firepower, morale and looks.
My previous plans have been moved so I may be up for this. I can't commit just yet.
As for training well there is lots you can do, its just a question of how much time is available. A bit of work on observation and C&C is always useful, and can be tied in with mounting amubushes. As would work on defensive tactics and countering ambushes as I think thats one area we airsofters seem to be lacking.
I've also wanted to look at movement and the general portrail of a German soldier. By that I mean moving and acting as a German soldier would so that we look like soldiers rather than airsofters.
Hi folks, sorry, been away for the week.
Justin, I'll be getting to the site around 3pm to pick up the keys.
I'm having a chat with Sgt Heide tomorrow about the training and what we'll do. We'll also set up a skirmish in the afternoon so you can all have a practice for 'real'.
I'll post details once it's all confirmed.

First and Only Airsoft!!
Hi all
OK, I had a chat with Pete about this and we’ve got a rough outline for what to expect.
We’re not going to go through any drilling or non-combat training as we have a mix of so many different forces so the techniques will vary too much.
However, we will be going through some basic training that will be useful and directly usable during a battle. So, thing like:
Cam and concealement.
Scouting and fieldcraft. (ie: Moving quietly and effectively through the woods)
Basic hand signals.
Following orders. (!)
Forming an ambush.
Forming an effective defence.
Preparing an attack.
Fire and movement.
In the afternoon we’ll throw in some short scenarios to put the training into practice with debriefs to work out what works and what needs to be improved.
Hopefully all of this will enhance your effectiveness during the forthcoming battles on the WW2 calendar and will improve the experience for all involved.
IMPORTANT: If anyone would like to order pryo, I can put in an order to TLSFX and we could incorporate some pyro use too, although I understand if cash is a bit tight for this. I'll need to know whether people want this by Thursday really.

Can now confirm that I'll be there on saturday. Waiting for my Bro' to let me know if he plans to as well.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
What time are you kicking off on the Sunday morning ? I can't come up the Saturday night.
Also, does anyone have a map for the site ? Or even a post code so Sat Nav lady can guide me ? I'm struggling to find directions on the F&O website.
Here you go - Yith did this useful map last year:

My Bro' can't make it now. (Something about spending time with his wife!). I'm looking forward to it anyway, especially if this Indian summer carries on.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
I'm actually looking forward to this more than a game day.
What time do we need to be onsite?

Are you arriving on Sunday?
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Yes. Arriving Sunday.
We'll kick off at 10am, like a normal event; so onsite by 9am to get set up?
