What are the forces represented? Brits? US? Heer? W-SS? FJ?

also a lot of people on here, myself included, arnt UKARA registered, despite owning lots of RIF`s

why is UKARA a prerequisite to attend an event ?
i thought it only covered BUYING AND SELLING RIFs, not owning them or playing airsoft?

im not being beligerant, but im wondering if you meant UKARA and not something else :good:

I'm not UKARA regsitered either as I have no interest in general Airsoft.

I do have AFRA membership is that acceptable?

I have a small skewer hidden in the collar of my jumping jacket, and a razorblade in my gaiter, as well as my knife.

also another issue could be the date

CIAs game is the week before, and josh`s gunman crew are hosting a big FIBUA weekender that weekend.

the ww2 player base is spread thin, and with more and more games coming out its getting thinner. most games seem to be stuggleing to fill recently

No real need for people to be AFRA or UKARA as far as I can see, you are just reducing your player base.

I suspect it's to do with PLI requirements. We normally use the insurance the Airsoft site operator already has in place, as this is a private site there probably is non, hence the need for players to have their own. The misconception here is that ukara membership provides PLI like AFRA membership does, whereas all it actually does is allow you to purchase RIF's.

So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

That is the week before my game :D

See dates viewforum.php?f=68

Maybe a winter game with a Bastogne theme would work better as it is a forest.
Hold it in Oct, Nov.

The site sounds good. Any pics?

I'd suggest addressing the PLI issue a bit more. Unless they are also a member of AFRA, no airsofter will carry their own PLI as they are always covered by site insurance. You either need to purchase event cover or else make it crystal clear that proof of insurance is a requirement for playing. Individual insurance generally costs a minimum of £80 per player and will therefore go down like a turd in a punchbowl with the airsoft crowd

Please carry on with the comments

While the site looks good remember that WW2 airsofters are used to playing at awesome sites all over the country, be it MOD FIBUA sites, Welsh hillsides, 600 acre forests, disused factories, old RAF bases etc
They have also, by and large, got over the novelty of shooting people with BBs.
What is more important is scenario, game style, degree or absence of realism, organisation and structure, availability of vehicles and so on.

What generally works best is a fully rounded proposition put forward, then ask for interest, more specifically payment. Plenty of people will express interest yet not commit when the crunch comes.

October is a much better date as far as competing events goes and a Hurtgen scenario is, I suppose, as good as any (I do prefer specific day/place rather than vague battles - but I dare say most people won't be that bothered).

Hi just read the thread on the Axis re enactment site and there is no mention of airsoft guns??? It just mentions Firearms and Re enactment groups??
Is this a Re enactment event with Firearms firing Blanks or is it an Airsoft event??
Sorry if this seems a daft question (Or its just me being Dumm :slap: ) but the idea is great just need some clarification before our group can show interest.
Cheers

As I have already pointed out, they have run a Vietnam b'f battle there already and a b/f WW2 battle is planned for July. This thread relates to a proposed airsoft battle (originally in July, the week after the b/f battle but now being proposed to be some other date).

Incidentally, players should note that even if the have AFRA membership and they have completed the necessary risk assessment they are only covered by Public Liability Insurance. That is to say, if you caused injury to someone else and they sought recompense then you would be covered. You are not insured for personal injury, for that you would either have to attempt a claim on your own household insurance (if they cover such activities as airsoft) or sue the player who injured you or sue the organiser. The organiser will (or should) carry their own PLI as well as Employers Liability insurance if they are paying staff and Accident insurance pertinent to the event. Being a member of AFRA does NOT cover all insurance bases, it just protects you personally from a claim made against you personally.
