Guys, I'm planning on organising a small day game at F&O, Hey Wood, Huddersfield and wanted to give as much notice as possible.
Date will be 25th Apr and this will be a private game so cost will be £20.
My intention is for it to be a Milsim day, based around D Day +1. It won't be 100% historic other than it'll involve 82nd and 101st PIR and German infantry units (need advice from Axis players on which) and be based somewhere in the Normandy countryside. The scenario will be basic - each side will have overall objectives, but the day will be allowed to play out based on the commanders decisions. There will be no suppied food or down time at lunch - players will be expected to cater for themselves in game. Expect ammo limitations (especially for the Americans) and other, unknown 'buggeration factors' to hinder progress. Places will be limited and will depend on the number of Germans we can attract. I'd like a 2:1 (min) advantage for the Germans, so starting places will be 10 US, 20 German - the game needs to be tense and difficult for the PIR (just as it would have been), but interesting enough for the Germans not to walk all over them.
None XVIII Corps members please register interest below, stating which side they want to play for - the game will only go ahead if I get enough confirmed players.

For those that live further away, is there camping available ?

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Will check and let you know.
Edit - camping is available at a push, but F&O would rather not! There is a campsite nearby (not got any details yet) but it'll cost - would that be acceptable or would it have to be cheap and cheerful? I'm happy either way, I'll just need to sweet talk F&O if you want the latter!

I can't say if I will be able to attend yet, but for those who live more than a couple of hours away, the alternative to getting up at stupid o'clock is to stay overnight either oniste or nearby. (Onsite is cheaper.)

I'd be a possible on this, but I'd need to car share. Will have a chat to Heide about it.

Same here. Unfortunately, I'm on nights that week.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
I'm cancelling this - there just isn't the interest needed to make it worthwhile.
Might look at it another time when I've more time on my hands.
Mods - please close this thread.
