Any scope or requirements for in-game vehicles? Site looks good for vehicles!

What time do you envisage End-Ex? Just asking as it is a Sunday game and a minimum 3 hour drive home for me afterwards.

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

We have discussed vehicles but have no firm decision yet, we will have to check with the site owner's as regards insurance and also think about how they will fit in with the scenario.

I do agree though, this site does lend itself to their use, though a lot of it is completely inaccessible except on foot.

It does also depend on what is available...

As for endex, again we have not decided and understand about drives home. Sunset is 8pm ish, so we can go a bit later than if it was in the deep dark of winter, but personally I don't think we'll go anywhere near as late as 8pm.

Was the question I was also going to ask as not wanting to leave a couple of hours before the game was going to end
Sunset 15th April 19.36 on a clear day so I guess dark possibly well before that. But certainly up for this :o

well the badge for the Rangers is a definite no no, otherwise it is pretty close to an infantry impression.

Our meeting to finalise these bobkins is next week, at which point we will put up a required kit level which will stipulate what is allowed and not.

Heh, get used to it, mate. I learned to sew through this hobby, and once you've sewn tresse onto a collar, you can consider yourself a man.

soonish. (Don;t worry Laddie, we'll save you a place)

We want to put up all the 'official McGubbins' in one go, and we are seeing the site owners this Sunday (and maybe yourself if you are there at that open day?) where we will finalise all that stuff in our little heads.

Did you guys make any decisions on vehicles? I can bring my sidecar combi and even be the German CO's driver if required or use her as a mobile MG platform. But if there is no use or benefit for her in the scenario then I'll leave her at home!

We are waiting for them to check with their insurance peoples about them. We want them, but the look of fear on their faces when we mentioned it means they will be getting back to us. :giggle:

As soon as we know, you shall.

We like the idea of vehicles, but the site owner wasn't sure and needs to check his insurance. We'll let you know when we have more info.

Do bare in mind though that only some areas of the site are accessible to vehicles. Well over half isn't.

Might be worth leaving off the HBT trousers and just going with wools if you have them.

This is what we're really looking for.
http://www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/us-infantryman/

Though ALL the webbing is completely optional. And the M41 jacket can even be dropped if a Wool shirt is used instead.

For cheap wool shirts and trousers try these:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WWII-US-M37-w ... 23148553a4
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WWII-US-M37-O ... 2314855148

Those are auctions that have ended. But check his other sales for ones that have not and if you can't find any, message him to ask him to put one up.

And don't forget any M43 stuff is also acceptable... Just not really HBTS if you can avoid them :)
