Well lets try and get more than four of us there first.

A few more for the op would help too...

Can you post directions to the site? I have looked on the Phoenix site but it is not imediately obvious.

Not sure I can make it but will check based on where it is. What is the start/ finish times?

But forget that location... cos its moved already.

Training Day is now 7th February at Grange Farm airsoft. The same place we're running Operation Lightning.

Here:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?ie=UTF ... d83e3&z=16

The reason for moving is that we can get to train to assault the ridges and sneak about, but also because some of the facilities we were expecting to be available at Phoenix won't be available that weekend.

Another quick note... The price will be £10 per person for the day.

We'll be cooking in field at this one so you'll need to bring a mess tin and stove to cook on and something period to cook with. We can discuss what exactly this will mean on the run up to the event... but basically it means something like this:

- Tommy cooker or esbit hexi burner
- Mess tins. Aluminium for health reasons not nasty tin ones. The rectangular ones from camp shops should do and look period.
- a tin of corned beef or something like that... rip the label off to make it look more period...
- enamel mug or something that looks about right.

Small packs on the back as we'll prob not use them most the day so be easier to carry them to and from on the back.

Although if anyone wants to do the field training with it on the hip they are free to do so!

That's a very kind offer Ramsay and I may well take you up on it. Unfortunately I won't know if this is a go-er for me until much closer to the date.

And I don't have a small pack. Will a Tescos bag do? (it's hessian :D )
