Right guys

Could all those doing Huskey possibly bring their NWE kit as well as any med loadout they have got sorted.

I'd like to take the opportunity to get some more pictures of UK airborne 'in action' for the mag and also get some Mediterranean variants sorted.

Also...

Yith, Ramsay, Ranj and I discovered the 'gliderborne' way of wearing your bayonet and its not only loads easier to carry but looks dead warry...

Yeah it looks ded 'ard ;)

I think its just one way to wear it, not the only way to wear it for airborne...

Is it "hanging-off-of-the-large-strap-of-a-pack-L-strap", perchance?

No its threaded onto the left front brace and the bayonet sheath goes behind the left basic pouch and is secured by following the brace into the pouch loops.

Its a very comfy and easy to access way of carrying it.

Not sure about it myself, if you hit the deck you would end up with a bit of a bruise on your ribs.

has anyone actually seen any pics of this?

I've not seen pics yet.

I'm not so concerned about the rib damage. It seemed to sit under my arm on me... and there's two layers of webbing between the sheath and me...

get some puttees as a stop gap. They will allow you to blouse your trousers properly.
