I imagine the Fallschirmjaeger would have whittled their own pins from wolfs teeth or something - and "safety" be damned.

I imagine they probably nicked theirs from Brits, as no doubt their official FJ issue ones landed in a cannister with their guns, several miles away....

Briitish WW2 /post war denims, they are almost identical in design/cut to wool BD (but larger sized - meant to fit over BD) and if he's lucky they'll be brown anyway, or if they are a bit greenish (some are) a bit of dye would work.

Pics of my beret that was issued to me in early 98.

Holland cloth was already on my capbadge and it was a bit poorly done to be honest.

I had a second one i 'subdued' by spraying black but always wanted the gucci cloth black and green one.

Good Morning Gentlemen.

I think i should introduce myself. My names Gerwyn and I was introduced to Airsoft by Gadge back during our time with GW.

While i've airsofted casualy for several years now, i've been growing tired of conventional airsoft and have been looking at taking part in WW2-soft for a while now.

As a result i'm looking into joining the PBI at some point in the comming months (pending my annual bonus, thus is the nature of things).

I'm a big lad, so i'll think i'll leave the assault role for some bod more able to make it across the open ground without getting his butt filled with bbs and as a result i'm looking at getting a Bolt Action Rifle with a view to eventual modding it up to be an Enfield No4.

out of curiosity, from peoples experience at games, do axis opponents normaly rely on their mp40 or is it likely to get involved in "rifle duels"?

-edited to correct my god poor spelling-- attachment is not available --

There are quite a lot of German players with K98s, and with the ammo limits that are normally used (600 rounds per life), SMGs are not used like machine guns.

Got my South Staffs gear and my Hallamshire Battalion all sorted now so I'll like to fall in and join the PBI if there is space for one more!

Hi Celtic knots,

If you can find a cheap source of springer No 4s?

No - we can't either!

I think many would agree if you can afford a custom LE No4 that would be the best option. I think the ability of a rifle squad has not been fully explored, the Gerry with their Tanaka K98 have caused mayhem at times though, be nice for the Brits to return the favour.

I bought a JG Bar 10 as they are cheap ish but very good straight out of the box. The eventual aim is to make a wooden stock and fit a dummy magazine to mimic the LE, but I am not there yet :slap:

Other cheap options, I personally don't think they are the best options for PBI but they are very good (especially for the price), AGM MP40 or Cyma Thompson (Or TM but the barrel breaks and is more expensive)

Only happens if you really mis-treat your guns!

I had mine for 4 years and never once broke it.

Hello lads. I am putting together my South Staffs impression, I have already got my 37' pattern webbing sorted, and when I go to war and peace I will be on the look out for a 1st patt denison, ammo boots, beret, denim trousers, etc. Also once I have sold a few bits and bobs, I hope to get a Lee Enfield no4, (have to say that getting my hands on an Enfield again would be great as we used to use no4's at sea cadets for rifle drill, and bloody heavy they were too!). I am also putting together a Heer impression, (but lets all keep quiet about that shall we....)

I hope to see some of you at war and peace. :)
