Right guys we're a brit commando unit that have been in Yugo for *months*.

Its mid 44.

As im playing you're slightly eccentric major i'll be in boots, denim or BD trousers (without anklets) , aertex shirt, civvy pullover and beret.

My web gear is simply a belt with pistol holster, a basic ammo pouch and a water bottle on a shoulder brace kept seperate.

So what you all wearing:

The *most* you want webbing wise is basic order, i personally woudlnt bother with e-tools and respirator cases etc. The only other thing i'd leave at home unless you only have that as upper wear is your denison smock as we'd be unlikely to have been issued them... if you have one and that it then please dont worry about using it but BD or denim is preferable to it. Headgear should be beret, cap comforter or MKII helmet if you really want to (im taking mine in case we get shelled :) )

Jerkins would be cracking and feel free to mix and match denim and bd.

Well I'm going the total opposite way to Gadge... I'm a fresh off the boat Lt... So I'll be wearing badged BD, commando beret and full officer webbing... With my trusty S&W and Tommy gun... oh and my Fairbairn Sykes strapped to my leg.

As the game progresses I may change this and become more rag order... Losing the BD jacket if it's hot, switching to cap comforter... etc...

I was going for collarless shirt, fully badged up BD, jerkin over the top if chilly (greatcoat in reserve if it's arctic!). No webbing most likely (other than belt), just a ressi bag over the shoulder with crap it. Commando beret initially with swap to comforter maybe if things get wet. I'll use the militarised 1928 until I get fed up with it (no hop at the moment!) then swap to M1A1. Don't think I'll bother with a pistol.

Oh, and I'll be beardified.

Badged up Denims with anklets, Leather Jerkin, cap comforter and collared shirt. Or some variation there on if warm/cold or such.

S&W and MP40 with (probably, haven't fully decided yet) a belt, pistol holster and small pack jury rigged with shoulder strap.

For all but 2 commando yes it was done.

2 commando have the dagger badge instead.

On D-day the commando's had their berets without badges, but probably had their badges in their pockets or something...

I have a spare (cos I'm not using it) original commando dagger badge... you can borrow it, but if you lose it I'll have to use my full size commando dagger on you... ;)

As per training day can i ask guys to cam up a bit... not so much to look warry but more to look dirty and dishevelled.

:)

(apart from Rich who is my replacement sent in by submarine as i'm recovering from a nasty leg wound...)

I'll be in unbadged BD's & cap comforter, I'll have my jerkin incase it gets cold, belt-order webbing, my main weapon will be my No.4 backed up with my 1911 and as spares I'll have my M1 carbine, MP40 & P38 :D

For the social I'll be wearing my South Staffs kit as it's not had an outing yet :good:

I just ordered it, and sent a grovely note to the seller to be extra nice in despatching dates. typical, I was checking for ages to replace my 'lost' dagger and then it just appears at the last minute.

Here's hoping, then I can wear the Beret on the evening.
