It is with a heavy heart indeed that I have to tell you that this event has been cancelled.
The reason for this is that we don't have the logistics to put on this event and would rather reschedule it than put on an event that's not up to our high standards for our loyal players.
Sorry for the disappointment, nobody can be any more disappointed about this news than me.
The next PBI event after St. Lo will be based on the operations around Oosterbeek in September 1944.
The Allied forces will consist of the 1st British Airborne Division, primarily of 2nd Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment but with support from the Glider Pilot Regiment and Parachute Regiments.
The Axis forces will consist primarily of the 9th and 10th SS but there will be space for Heer and Fallschirmjäger as well.
The location for the event is booked as Fearful Silence Airsoft near Wakefield, West Yorkshire on Saturday 26th September 2009

More details to follow as they become available.

Oh you know I'll be there, but I'll post to say so anyway.
I am looking forward to it already!
Just a note to say I'll be at this one (on the British side).
This is a fine woodland site - I'm looking forward to playing there again.

dont get too hung up on that webby, this is a battle famous for the brits using captured weapons,,, the air re-supply didnt work due to the radios, all the ammo was parachuted onto captured drop zones, .303 was in very short supply, many brits used captured weapons.... a kar 98 or mp 40 would be acceptable if no no4 is available.( though we would like as many riflemen on both sides as possible)
webby only has M1 carbines though...
we have all seen that famous pic, maybe we can allow one........
Care to share?
this famous pic
Woop, thats me sorted then
Would love to go but will be in Afghanistan trying not to get shot
"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."
Would love to go but will be in Afghanistan trying not to get shot
Or getting blown up.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

Sounds....................safe
One of my schoolfriends step brothers is in the grenadier guards, he did 1 tour in Iraq and 2 in afghanistan, he had to grow a beard and train the ANA troops, I read his diary of his tour which was published in the Grenideer guards magazine/newsletter thing, which says he also fought alongside the Danish army who I never knew were there, and french special forces it was an interesting yet sobering read.
Good luck fella.
My mate came back last year. I always thought of Afghanistan as hot and dusty but his bit of Helmand was cold, wet and windy.
