The group has always been based on a core group plus misc. invited members on a more casual basis.
Obviously the dynamics have changed drastically but it would be great if we can keep going forward in a less kit extravagant way, with shows chosen to suit our resources in kit and time.
To make things work we need a dedicated few plus a small pool of mates who can help out when they can.
Pete Dunn has offered to attend when he can - now the nick is in the process of privatisation so can wear German kit again.
I wonder if he'll be expected to provide his OWN UNIFORM for work? There are a few that he could wear
I can only provide part-time low-key support, as per now.

Oooh, harsh! OK, I'll have a go...
1. The CiA team have many times discussed using a reenactment event as a 'recruitment drive' with multi-uniform attendance. However, we felt it was a lost cause most 'reenactors' won't be told and all they will see is a shabby display. The public will also see a confusing message - are we selling some sort of paintball event or are we just dressed up as enemies but are really friends?
2. Reenactment shows are an opportunity to show detail, a representation of a moment in time. Something that in airsoft we can't do as events span seven years of conflict.
3. The 16th-SS has bought kit specifically to depict the 16th-SS - it has no use otherwise and I'd like to use it. We have plenty of kit to share round, maybe enough for 10 people.
4. I have always used airsoft weapons at the shows and talked to the public about them and what we do, when appropriate.
5. Calling yourself 'airsofters' at shows is an instant downer - there is so much negativity, bigotry, ignorance and snobbery. However, it's much easier to hold our heads up as 'reenactors' who are airsofters - it's a simpler message for cretins to understand.
6. Airsofters go to airsoft events, reenactors go to reenacting events. One is for private consumption, the other for public consumption. Keep things simple otherwise it just brings out the 'I'm just an airsofter' cliche and a can of worms!
See.......I said didnt I........
