Well, we have lost Dave which is a bit of a shock to say the least. Putting the personal stuff to one side which is best kept away from a forum it means we have not only lost the instigator of the group, the main driving force but also a lot of the kit too.
It might seem at first thought that all is lost but it doesn't have to be that way. We managed perfectly well with a small, less flashy display with PBI and still had a great time. A 222 is a great draw and a fun thing to have but it certainly isn't the be all and end all. And less kit means less ball ache setting up and packing away!
I'm certainly up for carrying on in a simpler, smaller fashion. We have all a fair bit invested in this venture and it would be a great shame to see it fizzle out.
So, I'm asking who would like to carry on and in what capacity and how you want to see things move on.
Sorry for the unseemly haste (a bit like shacking up with a new bloke the day after the husband's death) but I have booked a show in two weeks time and need to make arrangements fast so as not to let people down.
I'm in - unfortunately, not for the upcoming event - but am happy to lend out kit/equipment etc I have on the usual bend/mend or replace basis.
I guess we need to pull together a list of who has what - this will allow us to figure out a display of sorts.
we also decide if we as a group continue. Time is martching on as they say
Well, I have the time off to go to Waltham Abbey, so I'd still like to go. As regards kit and stuff, I have almost nothing! I do have a flysheet, which still needs some 7' poles, but I will now try and source those locally.
What have you got that I can borrow, for WA, Del ?
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
well iam up for it ie carrying on with the 16th, i have zelts and all the basic kit needed we just need to found out numbers for the up and coming event as i know miff is away on holiday and john is saving every penny as he is moving house, so might be a good idea to cancel this one and all get together to talk about the future.

Andy, I guess it all depends on what kind of display can get organised. I have a variety of different things that I would be happy to lend you.
I think it's a case of waiting to find out who can go, with what and I can let you know what fits the bill lol
I have a few odds an sods but no tents and no uniform that would work other than the Arbeitsjacke. I'm happy to fit in with what others want to do re: WA
