I've let Les know of our major problem (without being explicit) and that we couldn't do what we were expecting to do and that we were trying to work out what we can salvage.
Here is his reply:
hey guv this is such a sad thing but sometimes happens
but please dont worry about it
please tell the guys to come allong regardles ..this show is realy a relax and enjoy for us reenactors
as i say come allong and just sit and drink and chat
As Les has always said, this is a laid back reenactor's show. So, I'm all for trying to do something for visitors to look at and talk about and have a stress-free show. We don't have to be big and we don't have to be clever!

I'm still up for it.

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
I'm up for it but I can only do Saturday/Sunday.
I also have no tropical kit at all.
Not sure dave if iam up for it think we need to get together to talk about it .

OK, Keith is up for this and we will travel down later on Friday sometime. It won't the the 'display of the year' but it should be a fun weekend at an interesting site.
If we can borrow (or buy) some kit of Dave's then that would be even better (tent, fly sheet, fire grate and a couple of pots would be sufficient).
I have spare LW trop trousers (large)
British KD trousers in 34" waist.
I could even lend out a my 16th trop shirt as I can wear a British KD one underneath instead.
Also have a pair of size 9 low boots for loan.
If Hiki deliver in time then I will have both a Saharinan jacket and 34" waist trousers spare too.

I now have all the kit we need from Dave B: command tent & fly, Italian zelt fly, two zelt tents, table, radio set & phones, misc transit boxes, cooking tripod, pots, kettle & pans. This is in addition to the tents, tables, chairs I have.
More than enough for a behind the lines staging post or supply depot.
Gaz has loaned his uniform as well.
What we don't have is the cooking range as it is too big, so it will mean boiling hot water only on display, evening meal will be done on gas hobs after the public has gone. Lunch will be bread/cheese/soup/fruit type of simple food.
Keith and I will be there the whole time, anyone else is welcome to come and will need bedding (if stopping overnight), personal kit and webbing and please bring food as well as we won't be able to have a fully stocked larder.

Hi, unfortunately, my daughter's condition has worsened in the past few weeks, whereby she is frequently getting distressed. I may or may not be able to make it - I'll keep you informed.

Do we have a Juwel petrol stove or something more substantial than an Esbit?
Well, we''l have the coal/charcoal fire but not the big new range (it's a welded structure and no way to get that in a car with all the other kit).
