Neilblume no surprises there, he's never really made any secret of liking to pick and mix kit that most effective whether its realistic or not.
Other than my response to IMP i think i'm going to try and stay out of it as i've far too partisan an interest to be objective.

Yes, very impressed so far - there was always going to be a distinct polarisation but at least its getting chaps to THINK about what they do and why they do it.

Imp is a member of Dog Company, so no surprise there really. Although curiously they are one of the bunches that were seen at a reenactment event recently as Chommers pointed out.
The argument keeps on returning to kit.....which is exactly what we keep on trying to steer away from.
It's attitude that we're after. Immersion and role-playing. Not blatting, calling for hits and being gay, a la Gunman.

Scaley complained to me on the way back from lightning about him not taking hits. Scaley doesn't usually complain either.

Oh and I nearly had a benny when I saw Webby had some modern pistol mag pouches on his belt at lightning. I managed to control myself.....

Heh, last time he was at GF he lost a pistol mag in one of those ditches full of spent shells - we spent ages trying to find it (and didn't). Talk about needles & haystacks!

Given what Imp said about it not being about honouring the dead blah blah, I quote from his web site:
