And he got it from a Fireball, so god knows where it came from. I didn't coin it, but someone used it to describe the Black Hawk Down day. I also used it to describe an A-Team game I ran.

Heh, I don't want public fraction or argy-bargy. No need for binning - the cold shoulder and a lack of paying punters will see him moving to pastures new before long.
BTW - his 'Operations' weekend was a fantastic success so things aren't that bad for him. Well, I say fantastic success - there were four paying punters and seven marshals but hey, that's a result in Josh's eyes!

I've just updated main pages of the web site to include the word 'film-sim' at least once on ta page. I'm seeing it as a personal challenge to knock Gunman from the no 1 Google position.
I think on a purely sensible level we need to make it a common parlance term and use it a bit as
1) its what we do
and
2) if we can porve we've been using it he cant make a claim on it exclusively in the unlikely event it comes to that... however in the 2commando issue of AI paul credits my name to the term a few times with sets a nice precedent...

I'll copy and paste my comments elsewhere:
Spiers was an anoying twat - he was stood about posing like he was a movie star, can't say I actually saw him in-game though!
My overall take on the weekend? I enjoyed it - plenty of varied gaming area. We played from the fort to way beyond last times German camp in the longest direction and into the scrubland before the dunes.
Both days were fluid and un-restrained by Josh (apart from Sat when we mutually agreed a direction of gameplay so as to end on a big asault).
Catering was a good idea, much chatting over food - and later drinkies. Saved me the hassle of cooking but if bar prices had been lower then peeps wouldn't have sloped off early. Despite camps and eating together there was a distinct sticking together of factions!
Axis, though at a huge disadvantage numerically pulled together although we were actually 16 men as we has three freelancers that refused to be directed and just wandered off on their own looking for a fight.
Aparently there were several Germans that had paid for a place but didn't turn up. Yes, right, we believe you Joshua!
It grieves me to say it but it was much better than last D-Day - in fact better than F&O's Hurtgen (which I thought was a sloppy affair). Motars were very good. Yanks had invented Teflon years before time
Gu did a cracking job - played most of Saturday without sight of players just using the radio and a map. Heh, I noticed his bottle of wine remained undrunk the whole weekend!
Was it worth £85? I wouldn't have paid but I didn't hear any grumbling players at the end of the event so I suppose Josh got away with it!
