I wish he'd leave his political activism out of this forum, its really getting on my tits.

Perhaps its time we have a 'no politics' policy or do what soem sites do liek 'the miniatures page' and have a current affairs and politics section.

If we do this everypost by oddball gets moved there or posted there, nobody else looks at it, hopefully he gets the message.

Its the second 'alarmist' post this week from the tit.

In all seriousness i really think a 'due to the sensitive nature of re-enacting historical events onf the 1930s and 1940s please refrain form expressing plitical views or bias on this forum' woudl do us wonders.

Either that or a 'current affairs section in 'off topic' which would quickly become 'nutters corner', self sanctioning.

Thats 'sun reader special' post about beds facing mecca is just one step away from 'bloody wogs taking our jobs' if you let it build....

Having just been in a ward with a muslim chap i can assure you that he had no special treatment in QMC other than halal meals which is as fair enough as wanting veggie meals IMO.

He was a nice bloke too....

I have a subtle ploy - start posting on threads around his post and push it down the table.

To be fair, I think his decided to push his luck following previous lengthy posts about how crap this and that is, in which I and Guy took a great deal of interest. And a fair number of others too.

Remember the 'off topic' section can't be seen by unregistered forum users.

Still, I'll have a word - he knows he is trying it on

Yes I can't but think we encouraged him to push his luck a bit

Mind you we did miss him when he was not around :?

Oddball is an idiot. Normally, i like to make people like this look like ignorant retards (not difficult), however, with that muppet, im just not going to post on his threads at all any more. Perhaps he will get the point that way...

When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........

unfortunately though folk do read then and get drawn in , as with the beds post....

Its short step form 'nice weather were having' to 'send em all back' with that sort of 'Cambridge cabby' mentality.

(i once had a taxi driver in Cambridge who managed to get the conversation from he weather to repatriation in about five minutes... i think the bad weather was 'the darkies fault' or something as ridiculous...)

This forums big enough even for nobbers like Oddball . If he ever gets too close use your powers. :D

Just keep thinking - it's not a Beaker/Demoncase/Fluffy sized nobber

By the way I've heard following the contraversy regarding a teddy named Mohammed, Sooty has cancelled the Jamaican leg of his world tour .

If Oddball (or anyone else) did make that step then the reaction would be swift and decisive, of that there is no question.

The banning of merely mentioning of the facts amounts to PC oppression, but hey, you missed all this while you were in hospital!

Trust people to make their own minds up!

All of which is beside the point. Just how off-topic is off-topic? Oddball's post wasn't party-political, more state-of-the-nations. I find it interesting - I teach my kids to question everything they are told and trust their own judgement, too many sheep in this world.

I just think anything with a political edge be it right or left on a forum laden with pics of guys in axis uniforms is probably best left out.

Its a fun hobby playing soldiers, to me off topic should be for computer games, funny videos on you tubed or announcements... not a soap box.

They had the same sort of problem with political posts on the WWII re-enacting forum.

In the end they were banned and deleted on sight.

There now, I don't think the post was left or right, more anti-establishment.

OK, I'll stop winding you up. I'm agreeing with you really - I've had a word...

By the way I've heard following the controversy regarding a teddy named Mohammed, Sooty has cancelled the Jamaican leg of his world tour.

 and Guy's taking the piss too

I bought a teddy bear for £1 and called it Mohammed, I'm going to sell it to someone for £2.

Question is, am I exploiting the profit?

Seriously though, Oddball's posts should just be moved to a section called "The Padded Cell" or similar.

Not in this country where it's par for the course.
Extremly clever punning there H/S, but padded cell for you too. Well, it's better than 40 lashes.
