I'll wait and see what the rest of you think, but I reckon a PM suggesting he either falls inot line or will be suspended for a week . I personally don't want politics on this forum at all really- don't know how you guys feel ?

Given that others haven't posted (other than SteveD) I guess others aren't interested or wouldn't like to air views publicly, so on that score alone I would just remove the post, drop him a PM and say that this isn't really the forum for political views (nor other 'sensitive' topics such as religion and rumpy-pumpy related issues). No need to mention banning, he either toes the line or we make him disappear in due course.

He doesn't make a pretence about his BNP leanings to be fair, but as I say, there is off topic and OFF TOPIC.

Aye remove it and say that we'd like to keep the forum clear of religious or political viewpoints given the sensitive nature of how strong points of view could be taken out of context by some when coupled with historical costume or some other polite explanation.

Alternatively ban the bugger i doubt it would be much of a loss given previous track record.

Yeah, banning isn't the best idea.

I personally think the post he's made is a very interesting discussion and I love talking about the various conspiracy theories knocking around, especially when civil liberties are removed in the name of anti-terrorism. However, if he's making the point by saying that the only party that can give us our freedom are the BNP then he can fuck off.

However, this really isn't the forum for political discussion and that's reason enough to lock and delete the thread. If he wants to then be a knob about it get facetious, we can deal with that separately.

Hehe HS - I'm an anti-establishment sort of person myself and love nothing more than debating such issues. I don't align myself with any organised political group being a sort of humanist, socialist, liberal conservative I like to think of myself as a free thinker. All by-the-by as an airsoft forum ain't the place to discuss.

So, yes, we need a stickied policy on what constitutes 'Off Topic'

Topics shouldn't be:
Personal - about someone in particular being discussed without their knowledge
Offensive - political, religious, sexual
Illegal - drugs, copyright, porno, ballistic, criminal

Im; of the same opinion about banning , I'd rather not go there. Oddballs stuff about his toy tank and the weapons he makes in interesting to soem here , but it's the bollox political stuff that annoys . I don't even mind if he is right wing, as long as he keeps it to himself ( pah that's the wishy washy liberal in me now)

Well, we've been debating this all morning and the decision has been taken to remove the 'Conspiracy' post you made.

It's a fine line to tread I know but overtly political posts don't really have any place here on an airsoft forum. In the same way that religious and sexual content would get short shrift, we are going to be firm on this issue.

It doesn't have a huge deal to do with our personal views (which we keep within a private forum) but has a great deal to do with respect for our forum visitors who come from all over the world seeking information and interaction with fellow WW2 airsofters.

Yes, there have been some silly off topic posts (we do have some young users) and you make a not unreasonable point on this. However, generally speaking Off Topic post if not informative within our forum brief then should at least be entertaining.

We are aware of your political stance and make no judgement on this, the issue is it's appropriateness for our forum, regardless of the importance of such topics and the debating of them, interesting though that may be.

I hope the position is now clear - we will be preparing a sticky for the Off Topic section so that there is a policy in place for free thinkers and non-thinkers alike!

Yep a PM to him is now urgently required, although our other members seem quite happy to fend him off.
