The first one is ridiculously anal and not in the spriti of our forums at all.

The second one is IMO very 'cia' as its all about tanks with nicknames innit!

My question will be.

In wwii the average age of a gemrna parachute private was 18.. how many times d o you have to multiply this number to get the average age of a re-enactor doing an impresison of one.

And I know what the answer will be already

"Are you talking about true Parachute trained FJ, or just those badged as FJ?" (only about 15% of badged FJ were actually parachute trained by the end of it!)

When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........

Likes !

You could do a similar one about the SS .

In WWII the average weigth of a SS Mann was 9 1/2 stone ...how many times do you have to multiply this number to get the average weight of a re-enactor doing an impression of one?

BTW PD comes across on here as a bit up his own arse , he was better on the phone .....mind you looks like he's read more books than us , old cnut !

Actually see both threads. I've had enough of the twat. Knowledge or no, if he's starting to offend us or our regulars I want him out of here.

I hope that's not too harsh.

Issue now resolved, PM from PD:

I know when I'm not wanted.

Stared off well - It's obvious you boys haev a divide and our friend Gareth doesn't want it closing. Mayube he'll lose some of that staus he's given himself.

I'm out of here mate - pleasant speaking with you but I think we in re-enactment will largely make our own way with the airsoft thanks. No emnity at all - but the lads who read aren't impressed with the Mickey Mouse stuff - we have been at it donkeys and we have completely different reasons for doing as we do. Gareths FNG comment went VERY deep and WAS intended to. You've had the benefit of some of my breadth of knowledge and experience - I'm sure you know there's lots more where it came from.

I think what we will do is phase in period AEG's into our already established private gigs...... its the way for ward for us.

Thanks and remember - on bad apple and all that - thing is - it's all down to perception who the bad apple is - you have peple on here who have convinced themselves its me - Cool - I can employ my time elsewhere mainly with a large body swelling with re-enactors who haev the same mindset as me.

Wiedersehen!
PD

My reply (thought it best not to agrevate)

That's OK PD, as you say it's going to better to take the path that fits the way you want it to go rather than get chaps wound up on either 'side'.

Things are changing rapidly - while CiA will retain the 'inclusive' approach others are looking at a more accurate approach hence the rise of Gadge & Yith's PBI.

Nothing personal! Hope to speak with you at an event someplace soon.

cheers
David

What a completely arrogant twat. If the rest of the people he's referring to in that PM are anything like he is then I'm glad to see the back of him and glad they're not coming this way anytime soon.

PS: Notice my posts have been removed. Fair enough.

Arrogant or not , it's a shame we've lost such an influencial contact in the world of reenacting over something as mundane as a poxy quiz.

Also some of the thread seems ot be missing , unless my reading skills have diminished.

Not sure what he's referring to as mickey mouse .

yup arrogant twat...

and no, not everyone in re-enactment is his buddy...

re-enactment is as fractured as airsoft... possibly more so. Hence he only talks for some of the re-enactors and to be honest I reckon a lot of them would have a problem with the way he goes about things if they knew the details.

"Arogant twat" is indeed the correct term.

Well done to Dave on making such a calm response... I don't think I could have managed that.

I was enjoying the quiz.

I've been polite about it, I've got no axe to grind, i've supported his posts on wwiireenacting.

I just dont think he likes it when someone knows as much as him or more about something.

I am seriosuly bugged as to the missing vehicle name! :)

Where was he rude to helga?

Just spoken ot Chommers who tidied up the thread before I saw most of it , hence couldn't understand his pm. He called you a fucker and abused Helga as well , no matter what ,that is totally unacceptable behaviour from a so called adult . Usefull or not , I'm glad he's fucked off. What with him and Fallingplate , the world of reenactment looks pretty piss poor to me , where are the good guys I'm sure they must be out there, these two can't be representitive of the whole ?

The good guys don't post on forums that he frequents... that's why.

We do have some of the good guys on here... but they're being sensible and lurking for the time being... not being arrogant twats and lording it around as if they rule the fecking world
