Watch out for woodlander.

He's an ex-airsofter and has mentioned coming to our events several times... he's also from what I can gather a fantastic brit re-enactor and is really helpful.

We've also got the guys behind two of the biggest shows in the country on here... Victory Show and War and Peace... I do hope they know better than to listen to PD's mad ravings.

Mad, yes, quite likely.

However, he is still the man behind AFRA, the largest Axis re-enactors association in the UK (yes, its bigger than WARS) now.

When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........

Steve/woodlander is a verygood bloke, a spot on re-enactor and a keen airsofter, hes just yet to combine the two but is joining pbi as the staffords glider pilot! (well we need one!)

I know PD called me a fucker but i shrugged that off as forces type banter, water off a ducks back when it comes form a lad whose evidentlay served but its when its not meant in jest i take offense.

BTW, not sure if you heard Helga reveal it at Wotan but Poacher is Stig on the other forums!

Incidentally, my response to PD's PM was calm as I'd much rather say goodbye than feck off - and as his 'resignation' PM beat any of us to a hostile 'feck off' I thought he had done us a favour!

yes... which means we should give him a chance... which we have... but by no means should we ever accept the bollockings that he gives out.

If he does that to his own guys then he'll likely piss off quite a few.

God knows how he's managed so far...

However I have already heard bad comments from two re-enactors as regards AFRA.

Yup, he's had his chance - and didnt make much of it. To be perfectly honest, when it comes to re-enactment societies/associations, i only believe what i've seen at first hand. Which is good. Cos I've heard some very bad things about certain Allied re-enactment associations

Well, he has kicked off his Reenactors Airsoft thing so we will see how far it gets, not sure many of 'our' lot will come flocking though.

It wil be intereresting to see, most reenactors yith and i have shown aegs etc to seem quite positive and receptive.

maybe with PDs influence they will give it a go.

I cant help thinking if one of us had have ut that post up we'd have been shouted down by now...

What i've diplomatically highlightesd is that unless they do germans or us their perfect impressions are going to be 'farby' as hell when the border regiment have to use their 'borrowed' m1a1s against a platoon of ss armed *entirely* with mp40s :)

It depresses me how quickly they are to diss what we are trying ot do without ever having been to a game . Pathetic really , and as closed minded as Panorama. .

Unfortunately it seems the mods on the re-en forums have banned PD/paul without even the courtesy to warn him or give him a reason why.

Sad really, as abrasive as he could be he was always a good read!

Yep I was readingthat on WWII Reen as well last night .

It's a thin line between putting up with a pain in the arse on the forum and him being overly offensive ( Poacher for example who turned out ok in the end)
Some of the comments on the Where is Panzergrenadier thread were worthy of Beaker and Fluffy.
I was tempted to say you lot are as :ghey: as airsofters
