Who would be on for a trip up to Dundee?

Warren is talking about having a Universal carrier (a real one) to face off against his punto half track... and would love us to come up and play...

Likely dates are feb/march...

Any takers?

Yup.. go up en-mase... take what we need and no more...

We're going to play and not to run the game so we'll need less.

Um ........"fuck no"....... for camping in Feb

Kidding aside I'm game for going up for a summer game , when we can camp out in a tent , but not in the middle of winter.

April depending on ours - or possible go up for September's Arnhem game ?

Yes, may be later in the year...

Any one know what his games are like? Are they as random as his forum posts and gun making?

It doesn't need to involve camping... there's a B&B.

As far as what his games are like... we can only tell by going and trying one!

I've noticed his spelling is better here than on UKASC , prehpas its a forum thing 8)

I'm game for going up when it's warm , looking at the dates, most are close to ours though :(

Febuary 18th sunday, depicting the Rhine crossing in to germany 1945

April 14-15th, weekender, depicting the preperation for D-day, ie commando raids, sabotage, SOE opps,

June, 9-10th weekender, D-Day operations, beach assults, para drops, gun batterys, etc

september, 15-16th Arnhem, land assult and airbourn opperations, weekender,

Could possibly do April or Sept , but not June too busy a month .

Okay I pm'ed Warren... his reply:

hi richard,
thats a big shame was hoping you could make it,
maybe for the best, we do some times get snow but you cant tell nowadays with the waether all fucked up ah,
oh well hope you do indeed come in the summer,

i was hopeing to tempt you with a bren ;)

warren

ps, i,l add the dates on your forum if thats still ok, the same as we talked about last week,

allso are we a go for the retailers thread allso,on your WW2 forum?
we,l stick with 5% off guns,
and 10% of uniforms and equipment, for members,

i only offer this to the regulars from the hill site, and to people that have all ready ordered guns, so its pritty good,

warren

I'll tell him the dates are already added.... April/Sept are possibles for me as well.

As for the bren... heh there's more chance if he lets me wait a bit... can't be buying that many guns that quickly!

As for a retail forum... is that okay? 5% off guns and 10% off uniforms and equipment for members?
No need to get actual hard currency off him for this...

Ah....... his spellings have returned to normal ,

I'm happy with that discount offering, it's up to him to agree it with each customer, but assuming that people place orders / enquiries through this forum its a win win IMHO .

Repeat though I am still game for going up there at some point this year .

Re BREN , see how you get on with the winding thing on the Sten , it put me off the idea of a Bren without a midcap magazine system . It's a bit .....faffy for a support weapon I reckon .

PS Thinking of having a go at making a 30 cal , using the guts of a Star 80 and a minimi box loader .

Yeah I wasn't too sure about a Bren myself... I'd have to see one in the flesh first!

More important to me is a service revolver of some sort and also a Tommy Gun Drum mag!

Anyone else got any comments on the retailer forum or should I set it up?

Agreed with above comments re discounts and forum space.

BTW, one of the kids at F&O has the Bren. Tyreal's mate, Alex I think his name is - one of the AirCav lot.

It's a big heavy old gun to lug around for the performance of a Sten ....
