Apologies for the forward nature of this, but because I'm brassic I'll need to borrow German kit for Wotan. (On a bend-it, mend-it basis of course)

So, who can lend me what?

I'm a 7 3/8 or 59 cm hat, 42 chest, 32-34 waist, 34 inside leg and size 11/12 shoe.

I am, of course, happy to lend out any Allied kit that anyone needs.

Thanks!

Stephen

Ah, forgot about this - clearly I won't be needing my German kit either so if it fits it's yours HS.

Caps in Oakleaf & Blurred Edge, Crusher, Field cap, helmet should all fit you.

Smocks in Oakleaf and Blurred Edge.

Officer's belt, cavalry & regular Y straps and the shit that hangs off them!

Boots are only size 9 so no good

Not sure whether jacket & trous will fit - I'm shorter in the leg than you

Being completely ignorant to Kraut kit I'll trust everyone's judgment and go with what you guys think best.

I read that leopard print was only issued in late '44. It's the tiger stripe that will be accurate for this impression surely?!

Oh, and I'll need a dual lube pouch.

Leopard was trialled much earlier, so not incorrect as such - few photographs about, certainly. Pea soup pattern was much more common.

I've got some original talc sachets somewhere - you will need them as it is going to be a bit of a squeeze to get you into the body suit.

Is it the crotchless issue, or zip-around?

Not sure, that's one for Gadge. I assume there is a pouch and flap rather than crotchless, as always I'm no expert. Zips are definitely post-war for Kraut gear anyway - more likely to be dished metal buttons or buckles and straps.

OK guys, I think the best thing is if someone brings any spare kit I can just put together something from all the relevant bits.

I'm swapping guns form Kavster with so will have an MP40 and mags, but no pouch.

I'd really like to wear a helmet if anyone has a spare. I'll bring some Yank kit to lend incase anyone wants anything.

On a side note, I have a rake and a CiA water carrier. They yours Guy?

Steve,

Fallschirmjager gear ok? If so, i've got a full set you can borrow - minus boots, you bigfooted freak ;) - if u have em, any old highleg boots in black/brown go with FJ gear.

I'll sling a couple of helmets in as well, one of them *should* fit you (typical repro stuff, all *slightly* different sizes)

FJ would be great! Love that look. Cheers. I'll bring my Corcorans, they'll work.

I warn you, I also have an enormous noggin, I'm about a 58.

Not a problem, same size as me. And in terms of German lids, a 58 is *not* massive, its half way up the size chart!
