Wait please Yith.
We want an absolute, definate and positive press release - no vagueness, no if's and maybe's. Just doesn't look polished and professional.

ow... but I want to let people know!
I was only going to post this on our forums...
We did the same thing for the other events!
I know, and it looks really bad...

Not sure why...
Bit of both. Like all "based on fact" Airsoft events.
If we can do Arnhem without a Bridge, and the Battle of the Bulge without Panzers, then I dont see why we cant do a "based on fact" one with this.
now when you put it like that.... how about 'el alamain' with no sand for an xmas game ...
or CR without a V1 ![]()
Not sure why...
I outlined the reasons above. It just looks like you are rushing to be first with the news. We know this will be a sell-out so let's get it right! (Said with my marketing hat on!)

grr...

I suggest we announce nothing until I have had full confirmation from Andy, after i email him tonight.
Better to be 100% abso-feckin-lutely sure before anything is said.

Yep -
Ah, but marketing isn't just about maximising profit!
I'm more concerned with our image and avoiding looking like a bunch of WW2 nuts throwing stuff together for the sake of a game. Let's keep it polished!
Anyhoo, as soon as we have a date confirmed, game outline sorted, game title sorted, ad banner sorted - then announce it publicly.
That's not to say we can't issue an 'internal' teaser - 'Keep your diary's clear for the 7th October. Information will be issued soon about a high intensity battle staged at a site in the South of England. Numbers will be strictly restricted - watch this space.' That kind of thing anyway.

ooo... can I? can I? ![]()
Simple answer. No. I've emailed Andy to get confirmation of whats been said on the phone, and in person. Until I get confirmation back, no-one says nowt.

OK gents, ive got it on email from Andy - we're good to go for the 7th October. Abridged email below:
Hi Jay
Everything looks fine, I
When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........
We could stick 'the bunker' on the projector and really prep em...

"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
I'm assuming 40 players plus us six ?
Sounds fair enough Guy.
BTW Kermit, another (non-WW2) airsofter in my office is talking about maybe coming down on 7/8 July to the site as well, with a friend and was wondering about accommodation on site as well.
From a marketing POV I noticed CW (I think) saying that we were going to fully announce this after CR.
Does anyone think it might be a good idea to announce this a few days before CR so people can talk about it and get all excited on the night?
That way when we open bookings following CR we might get a bigger, faster response.
I'm no marketing expert but think a few pictures put up might get the hype going.
S

Sounds like an idea.
We can do pictures the week after Churchill's when we're at UCAP...
No hype required, I recon we have sold out already.
Only 20 per side - the problem we will have is folk complaining it sold out withion 24hours of booking list going up and they missed the posting!
