OK,

have a look at the annotated map below.

Below, are a list of suggested places for certain objectives/locations. These are the ones that made most sense when Richard, David and I did the recce back in July.

Just because there are a lot of areas that look good for things, dont mean we have to fill them. I'd like to get a nice even spread over as much of the site as possible (with any luck!)

A
B
C: Weapon (or similar!) Assembly Hall
D: Fuel Dump A
E
F: German Commandants Office
G: "Mengeles laboratory". Sorry, i'll come up with something more PC in a bit
H
I: Ammunition Dump
J: Comms Centre
K
L:
M: Archives
N: Fuel Dump B
O
P
Q
R
S: Stores

That gives us a total of 9 places that we (and the players) can put names to, as spread over the site as i can get, most of them with several different routes to them. If we use the objective cards as part of the game (i'd prefer to give them more than just one thing to do throughout the day)

OK, the start/regen points. If you look at the map, you'll notice that i've shaded off areas for each side. These are exclusion zones. Each side has three ways of getting into the game zone. That gives them more options. No point in sending them down a "fatal funnel" if we can avoid it!

I'd shift your green zone one place right, as it is the left most entry point is useless as it brings you out on the centre one.

Means green only has two entry points really.

Also woudl it not be wiser to include the first horizontal tunnel in forn of the deployment as that sides posse ion also, as is cunning git could pin you in your dep zone my strafing the corridor as the first horizontal cutes off all three entry points.

1: There are doors and other stuff we can use to block off tunnels on the day
2: Dont want to reduce the size of the game area if we can help it :)

Yeha but you must see as it stands the left most deploy tunnel is pointless as it just brings you out onto the center green entry tunnel.

Shifting it across one means both sides get three valid options.

as it is the filled in section means you can either walk into t bricked up section or right turn onto the centre tunnel.

Doesnt make much sense

It balances out. The team that starts from the Green zone have easier access to the main chamber than the green team do (its a bit of a circuitous route from the Yellow end to get to the main chamber)

But its still a completely pointless left most 'entrance' as it doenst actually enter anywhere.

I think that might annoy players as soon as they realise it.

I think it may be worth declaring a specific point within the regen areas as the regen itself. So the players have to go back there before they can come out again.

Touch the Flag ?

BTW re maps I wouldn't give any player a map . Make it more fun / confusing / realistic. You could put one big one up on the wall of the Regen areas . If you think about it today, most buildings you enter do not have a map other than maybe at the entrance. The longer we can slow things down the better the game methinks

Good point about the one large map per side. Makes sense to go with that.

Where there is a line across a tunnel, does that signify a wall or a door?

Looks great Jay, although I do see what Gadge is saying, I've not been to the site so don't know how games work out there.

Do you know of any difficult choke points that might need a little careful marshalling to prevent games turning into turkey shoots?

Also, roughly what's the scale on the map?

A wall, there's only a door where there's a gap

The long corridors running top to bottom on either side of the large chamber C can be like that, but there are a load of ways around... too many for a group of our size to cover.

Also, roughly what's the scale on the map?

The passage sizes are about to scale with the lengths on that map. The narrow ones are okay for 2 people to pass each other... maybe three at a squeeze. Where there is a gap for a door, thats about the size of a normal door. (eg at E, which is maybe a 10ft x 10ft room)

I suggest maps at points throughout the game zone maybe 5-6 of them, with contamination evacuation procedures on them? ;)

What? You running around foaming at the mouth, screaming "Ich leibe dich" with a gangrenous prosthetic knob hanging out of your trousers?

Seriously, do you have prosthetic knobs at your place Guy (apart from those in the boardroom)? That would be an awesome find on the operating table!

David, i'm getting a bit concerned as to why you're so excited at the idea of prosthetic knobs.....
