Okay chaps

Mjr Harvey (i.e. me...) is putting together a crack force of allied commandos and i need DEDICATED volunteers for the squad.

Now loads of us spent lots of moolah on UK airbonre kit for Arnhme and it would be a shame not to use it again!

So I'd like to lead a squad of allied airborne or commandos, the best bit being is that by late 44 commandos were wearing the denison so all you need to do is switch beret to be a commando!

Personally i'm gong as a commando as i want to air thre kit off and tryout my leather jerkin in air soft!

So I'd love it if i can get a section of ten commandos or airborne guys together for this one, even better if it were all 20 of us.

So far i have three of us going as special service commandos, anyone else up for it...?

Cool

You staying airborne or rebadging for this one?

My commando loadout will be thus:

37 pat trousers and 49 pat blouse
leather jerkin
tin helmet mkii
thompson
37 web gear

i'll use my denison if it gets very cold!

this is my loadout for the event!

I'd love it if we could get a section of commandoes togehter but sas is fine, its only the beret thats going tomake a difference and to be honest we shoudl all be wearing helmets.

MKII helmets are very cheap compared to the para equivalent.
Even the turtle back ones will be fine for this stage in the war and i think they are less than a tenner.

you dont *have* to wear a helmet but its recommended.

Please dont feel you have to buy any new kit chap, you could be attached to the unit for your special abilities and skills, like clint eastwood in where eagles dare.

I'm only plumping for commandos as a lot of guys bought uk airborne kit for the arnhem game and a simple beret change gives us a different unit as densions dont have insignia on them.

Really not expecting any one to buy all new kit, just guiding the lads with brit kit as to how we could all look.

I might try and organise a blancoing session at one of the training days!

I'd be well up for being either an attached US airborne trooper, although I might be tempted to get a commando loadout as well, the denisons did look pretty sexy in person.

Cheapest way to do the commando loadout is:

49 pat blouse -

In that case feel free to put my name down for UK commando if you need another body for your unit- not that I'm a gear whore or anything...

Pardon Me Mjr. Harvey sir, one more volanteer from 30 Commando here(the specialist Tech weenies & Int unit that followed close too, and somtines with the main commando unit on opperations specifically to gather int.).

Hmm, not sure on exact outfit but commando. Its late war so a De lisle would work nicley. (Actually I dout it very much has too be 1J of less AEG due to the site)
